What about making dynamic clouds?
What do you mean by dynamic? They change when you shoot through them?
No. I mean moving clouds.
Oh, they have that IIRC.
I haven’t seen the suggestions I have, and excuse me if they’ve been mentioned before.
1) In the original Half Life (goldsource), the Glock (19?) had 17 rounds per clip, which is realistic, according to the article on world.guns.ru. In Halfe Life: Source, though, Valve added an additional round to the clip, which is unrealistic (if my source is correct.) Also, (correct me if I’m wrong) I’ve heard talk of there maybe being an automatic function on the Glock…? Only the Glock-18 has that, and I’m pretty sure that the Glock in BM, judging by its render is the media section, is a Glock-19.
2) On a different note, I played the original Half Life first. When I came across the Ichthyosaur (sp?) in the scene where it throws a scientist, I was extremely scared (what can I say–that game was a psychological nightmare at times :jizz . The thing is that due to the poor water effects, the surface was completely opaque (I didn’t know how to change this) which made finding the Ichthyosaur impossible, aside from split seconds of surfacing or being face-to-face underwater. This added an additional thrill that was completely removed in Source. When I went to the scene again in Half Life: Source, the water was transparent, and I found that one could shotgun the bastard with relative ease instead of going through the frightful battle underwater. Basically, I propose using translucent/foggy water where necessary.
3) Why will there be a sprint function if it wasn’t in Half Life?
IT’S MAGAZINE, IT’S NOT A CLIP! DAMMIT BOBBEH!
My bad :zip:
bscly
I never knew there was a difference
I’ve only fired one gun in my life, so give me some leeway

“Me fail english…thats unpossible!”
Ironic.
Lest we forget that the dash between ‘no’ and ‘one’ is unnecessary.
What are you talking about? :fffuuu:
Yronno has a very sexy avatar!
Could you possibly nit-pick a little more, please?
[COLOR=‘Red’]Topic, guys. Stop bickering.
Here’s an idea.
In the game, we always see other HEV guys wearing helmets, but all of Gordon’s pictures (gasp) no helmet. I think we could explain that he had one originally, but lost it.
Maybe after he’s ambushed by the guards, when he wakes up in the trash compacter, you can see it amongst the rubble his helmet, broken, cracked and useless.
Here’s another one. At the very beggining of the game, just to give the player a sense of self, it starts with Gordon cleaning his glasses. You can still move around, but there is an image of his hands wiping the lenses at the bottom of the screen, and the image is kind of blurry until you put them back on.
I think it would be kind of cool.
The more time I spend thinking about this, the more I see it as a stupid idea. Nevermind.
Also, I just recently read the bit about the helmet in the FAQ thread.
Screw the whole thing.
