Got a Quick Suggestion? - Small suggestions that don't need their own thread

Seeing your crimes against spelling should be torture enough :fffuuu:

All I really ask is for the infamous doughnut line to remain intact.

that has been asked, i think they said, will keep

I’m sure that I’m way not the first who suggest this, but still. This is HL1 overall map, and its kinda messed up with out-door locations:

So, please, don’t repeat Valve’s such a mistakes.

What exactly do you mean messed up? It’s a linear series of maps, I don’t think they ever designed it to look good when seen all together. When you put it all together you can be fairly certain that Half-Life 2’s maps all overlap, and Black Mesa will as well. You can’t really help it.

Why wouldn’t they keep that line? It’s not infamous, it’s a classic.

Yes you can. It just takes some extra care and work. I don’t mind if things don’t line up over ten level changes, but for the consecutive maps it is nice when they don’t overlap.

Hahaha Cat eyes im just joking :stuck_out_tongue: the link was cute.

You’re not going to see that in-game, so what’s the point?

Overviews are awesome, so if somebody is going to do one it’ll look nice without overlapped maps. :stuck_out_tongue:

Pink mod, where every texture is pink.

Well… If she really wants to go through all of that again for BM… :3

But not in practical terms; that would just make designing a game an absolute nightmare. In normal gaming design terms where the chief principle is that it plays well, having an overview map that you’ll never see when playing the game that doesn’t overlap is fairly far down the list of priorities.

just turn off your green chanel on your monitor…

Bang! Delivered…ish

Pink Mesa?

Heres an idea: About the MP5 vs M4 thing, how about instead of using the console to change it (that is what I read, don’t know if you changed this), you could have the setting for it in the Options menu.

Founded in 2004, Leakfree.org became one of the first online communities dedicated to Valve’s Source engine development. It is more famously known for the formation of Black Mesa: Source under the 'Leakfree Modification Team' handle in September 2004.
