Google Instant

Eh, its a little annoying. If you try to edit your search later, it can screw up. If its happened to you you know what I’m talking about.

I agree, its good.

Not as good as The Google.

I’m not a fan. Turn it off.

Is it you, google-man?

well he is an internet robot, they just keep getting smarter, I think they are close to achieving AI

I mean it didn’t just search google instant and quote the first sentence, it also summarized the rest of the page in its own words

We must destroy it while we can! Time to make the choice!

then again, it could be an actual person getting paid to visit forums with that signature

extremely unlikely, especially since we’ve all seen the bots go from posting total nonsense in random threads to posting on topic and even trying to help with computer issues, while still remaining obvious bots

Tried it, don’t like it…

Now that it works for me: I like it a lot, but sometimes it gets screwed up for some reason… Like the new Google Images, that has lots of bugs as well.

I think instant searching is pretty much compulsory today, since on OS X and now on Windows Vista and 7 you have instant search.

I just wish it also worked in the search box in browsers, though I don’t know what that would look like…

It is faster to find stuff, especially when you want to search for various similar terms, such as “smart” and then “smart dog” and then “smart dog on the couch”. In that case you would have to do 3 separate searches and maybe have them open in separate tabs for comparison, while now you can just start typing and see how it narrows down as you type.

However, for porn, it doesn’t work and it just displays “press Enter to search” as if it were saying “eww that’s gross, I ain’t instant searchin’ for that!”…

Google Instant: Because hitting enter costs you .125 seconds.

I can see myself in the future:

“You young whippersnappers all whining about having to think to use your brain implants! In my time we had boxes with buttons that we had to press in order to get pictures of naked women!”

It’s a bot.

Google promotion bot. Yeahhh!
