Good Brand Laptop

I’m using an HP laptop ATM, and it can play SOME games. It can’t play TF2 or HL2 without lagging, but it can play a few chambers of Portal alright. So, no. No gaming. Everything else is exceptional, and I love it! The only games it can really play though are flash, and emulators.

EDIT: My little brother can play the Sims 2 just fine and the game Sid Meier’s Pirates runs perfectly.

I had an IBM/Lenovo laptop and the only problem i had with them was that the hard drive keeps on dying. Is it my fault? Or is it the quality of the hard drive? I download a lot of stuff and i leave the computer on for long periods of time…

Apologies if I repeat anything, I don’t have time to read the whole thread at the moment…

I use an Acer, bought it 2 years ago for £400 and it still works as well now as it did then. Its:

Pentium Dual-Core 1.46GHz
358MB X3100 Mobile Intel Graphics Accelerator :fffuuu:
2GB RAM
120GB HDD
15.4" screen

Its not gonna win any prizes for performance, but if it did it would be too damn heavy and well out of my price range

For gaming, I stick to older games (Simcity 4, Civilization 4, System shock 2 oddly enough), but it runs half-life 2 comfortably, and can just about manage episode 2

Its also where black mesa’s gonna end up, being the only PC I own, which may not end well :stuck_out_tongue:

It’s probably an issue on your part, because I’ve seen lots of Lenovos in my life and none of them ever broke. Hell, I still have a 12 years old Thinkpad at home and it works like a charm.

hard drives are shitty and just break sometimes

Founded in 2004, Leakfree.org became one of the first online communities dedicated to Valve’s Source engine development. It is more famously known for the formation of Black Mesa: Source under the 'Leakfree Modification Team' handle in September 2004.
