the video lies
the version of the gluon gun on the video isn’t the final one, right?
No, it isn’t. It’s stated in the video description @ youtube:
srsly though, if the final gluon gun is nearly as awesome as it seems from the preview versions, I might soil myself. repeatedly.
wait…ah, too late
I am honestly thinking of ignoring the normal weapon progression and immediately spawning the Gluon Gun the moment I get my crowbar, I honestly like the work done so far that much. I think you may have all done your work to well when you developed the new gun.
That is countered by how quickly it goes through your available ammo supplies - you can do that if you want to but not for all that long…
“This is all within, theoretical limits.”
why do they call it gluon gun???
Oh my gosh, can someone please ban this guy? I mean he’s the most blatantly obvious troll we’ve seen in a little while.
[COLOR=‘DeepSkyBlue’][edit] Nevermind haha, I missed the whole ‘banned’ thing :retard:
“Thank goodness. My relief is almost palpable.”
I just hope the other weapons look just as awesome because in the trailer the crowbar looked ineffective
and they call it the gluon gun because it fires gluons (which have something to do with quarks and atoms)
I’m actually surprised that they’d show us the almost-finished version of one of the coolest looking weapons, seeing as how they’ve been so secrative with the coolest stuff (and rightfully so! Xen will be even more of an experience because of it.)
If I had to guess, I’d say that maybe they’ll turn the glow’s opacity down a bit so we can see the perlin effect a bit better…at least, that’s what I hope.
Regardless, it’ll be absolutely amazing either way.
:hmph:
a gluon is a type of force that binds particles together. theoretically the gluon gun disrupts the gluons binding the target together effectively vaporizing them.
ACTUALLY, guys, each weapon had its own running speed in HL1. Some examples include:
#define CROWBAR_WEIGHT 0
#define TRIPMINE_WEIGHT -10
#define EGON_WEIGHT 20
the crowbar doesn’t effect running speed, the tripmine makes you run faster, and the gluon makes you go slower.
Wrong.
The weight is “…used to determine this weapon’s importance in autoselection.”
Found in the source code under the header “weapons.h” line 208.
If you follow the code, you’ll see it does just that…
oh, thank you for the correct. i feel like an idiot.
Yeah, I was wondering why that would define how fast the player goes.
It’s not like Gordon only has his weapons when they’re out.
I don’t even remember this fucking gun from HL tbqh.
And you’re telling us this because?
you need to play HL more
