So my girlfriend and her ex were together for over a year and three months. They were very very close and of course shared every āintimateā action you could imagine, save for intercourse - which incidentally lead to their breakup (he wanted to have sex, she was waiting for marriage, he breaks up with her and goes out with her [now ex] best friend).
My problem, however, en lies in the fact that sheās veryā¦ reserved now, because of the fact that her ex hurt her (he also cheated). She is afraid to rely on me (it took two months after we had openly expressed that we liked each other for us to even begin datingā¦) or open up to me fully or trust me (and Iām moving off to college in a few months), so the whole trust-issue creates many problems for us.

I think you need brutally honest male advice. Unless youāve been together as long as the earth and the moon, thereās not a prospect you can keep things going on-and-off the next four years, and we all know marrying during college is not an option unless youāve worked a good number of years since high school. This relationship seems like one of those kittens that ma and pa canāt spare any tablescraps forā¦ off to the pail: with your age itās a merciless fact of life.
