We’re at 48%, c’mon Fellas, We can get this to at least 75% by thursday night!
Unless some news sites help us out I doubt it.
The rates really slowed down, were now only getting about a 5% increase in votes a day now.
I actually emailed Ross Scott to help get votes. It would be nice if others did the same.
IGNorance should make a video about it… it would raise attention
Ha, just when we think Greenlight’s done fucking about, I get a nice 1% on my widget thingy.
Also, PC Gamer made an article about the screenie’s from the Greenlight page.
Whilst neglecting to mention that it’s on Greenlight.
I have pretty much no hope anyone will advertise this, at this point.
Nevermind, I was drunk and pulled that out of my ass.
Duuude, they showed Slender: Source’s early as Hell footage, even linking to the Greenlight page. That is such a slap to the face.
Probably because they know Black Mesa will win anyway, they’ve been making articles about Black Mesa since the beginning of time.
I’m amazed that we are still climbing at about 4% per day. I thought that we would have flattened out a bit by now. Glad we will at least hit 50% tomorrow though, that’s fantastic! :jizz:
I think this is the biggest challenge that the Black Mesa community has had to face EVER.
I dunno, 7 years of waiting kinda strikes me as a bigger challenge, personally.
Group polarization at its best. Enjoy.
Greenlight now has the BM trailer autoplay when you open the page, in case nobody noticed.
Perhaps, with the machine slowing down a bit, we might start considering asking politely if some internet personalities would be willing to promote the project? Not that we should harrass them or even ask they put it in their videos, but it might be a good idea if we emailed people like Spoony or Pewdiepie (people with large fanbases), introduced them to BMS and politely petitioned them to help out if they wanted. If Egoraptor were to put a link to the Greenlight page in a Game Grumps video, for example, I would guarantee a signifigant jump in the percentage that day. It may sound a little corporate and maybe not the proudest way of going about it, but the ends could justify the means if even a single popular personality liked the project enough to point people towards it.
I dunno. Might work, might not be worth it. Just throwing that out there.
Same with Rock Paper Shotgun. Their post was just a reminder that it’s coming on Friday (Powering Up: Black Mesa Screenshots). But no link to greenlight. One of the first comments mentions and link to it, though.
So weird. I guess they figure it doesn’t need help, and maybe think if news sites reported it, it might be considered too biased a vote and disqualified? Whatever, It’ll get way more after release.
True dat. :freeman:
If Penny Arcade linked it, that would be cool. (Regardless of your opinion, you gotta know they get tons of traffic.)
imo its the same if the game gets on steam or not… i understand the easy updating if it goes to steam and the tracking achievments feature
but ill be happy anyways. i say waiting for this for 8 years is enough waiting for me, and its still on steam (kinda) but not with the extra features.
- a game is not about achievments its about playing the game!
and if black mesa gets promoted to pending how do we then know it will get accepted? (wich would likely happen) but still all this voting for nothing? greenlight is too serious imo and valve should minimize the required ammount of votes.
49% We can do this, I think I would love it on steam because of the game hubs now and because of the achievments and auto-patching
But we need more voters so SHARE PEOPLE :3
