Games, that if announced, would make you do a backflip.

PSYCHONAUTS 2 OMG
Half Life something
Warcraft 4 (The RTS)

Because the developers won’t let them due to copyright issues? Not every game developer is Valve, where they don’t shut down fanmade mods of their original games. Plenty of other Devs won’t allow it though, especially not Irrational.

bioshock source ftw

Another Deus Ex game. Damn it, HR has made me want more.

Irrational? All they did was produce System Shock 2 for Eidos/Looking Glass. They don’t own shit.

Eidos owns Thief, and System Shock is a dormant trademark of EA, with the other parts of the IP being owned by a random insurance company who inherited it from Looking Glass. They’ve said they have no interest in selling it.

There will never, ever be another System Shock – be it HD remake, re-release, or sequel. It’s just too much of a legal clusterfuck and no party is willing to budge to make it happen. Which definitely sucks.

Erm, I didn’t quote that, Derpyshadowsquirrel did.

I thought this thread was perfect-world scenario…

A standalone Valve story game.

This. And they have to be like the originals with the individual screens, not a 3D remake like realMyst.

Also, how have we made it to page two without mentioning Freespace 3? Come on…

Yeahyeah, I disliked the remake and I disliked MYST V. :frowning:

Mirror’s Edge 2 has kinda confirmed in a xbox mag issue nov 2011.

They’re thinking of using the same engine as in B3.Here’s a link

Age of Empires 4

Wouldn’t do a backflip for any game, but would be quite happy to hear about these few.

  • Dreamfall Chapters, technically it’s announced, but kinda left behind.
  • Planescape: Something. The story in Torment did conclude, but some other game in the Planescape setting could work.
  • Populous: The Beginning sequel with the engine of From Dust.

Kirby Air Ride 2

I loved that game for some reason, despite its shitty reception.

Black & White 3
Predator: Concrete Jungle 2 (This game is damn underrated while many people loved it)

It’s been in development hell for about 3 years, with little information known about it.

Deus Ex Remake in whatever top notch Engine they would choose!

Beyond Good and Evil 2

Metal Gear Solid 3 remade in HD with the new mechanics from the 3DS version instead of a straight port (like the over the shoulder shooting view and threat ring in the vein of MGS4)

Front Mission 4 HD update, or another Front Mission that’s actually a turn based strategy game like the older games in the series instead of this “Evolution” bullshit

Xenogears remake, this time adding back all the missing parts of the story from Perfect Works and doing a retranslation of the story from scratch

A new Rainbow Six that goes back to the plan then execute formula, but also integrates Vegas style context orders to allow flexibility

Half Life 2 Episode 3

Alan Wake 2

Star Wars: Republic Commando 2

Assassin’s Creed 3

Shenmue 3

Fallout 4 - developed by Bethesda with story/characters written by Obsidian.

Soldier of Fortune Remake/Sequel - I wish Raven would get the fuck out of Activision and joined the ranks of Bethesda, bringing the SoF IP with them.

New Jedi Knight game - Sorry Lucas Arts but Force Unleashed didn’t cut it. You need to bring Kyle Katarn back.

GTA V - Tweak GTA IV’s engine and gameplay, and recreate San Andreas on it. Would it be much to ask for?

I’m not too original on this subject…

-Sequel to episode 2
-some more Portal!
-Next installment of The Witcher
-Yet another Crysis
-Another remake of Doom

id are making a new Doom, next year hopefully, my backflip vote is for that.

Founded in 2004, Leakfree.org became one of the first online communities dedicated to Valve’s Source engine development. It is more famously known for the formation of Black Mesa: Source under the 'Leakfree Modification Team' handle in September 2004.
