Game loads, then locks up when loading a save.

Hi there.
BMS seems to be locking up when loading my latest save games.
I can load an older save (the ones with thumbnail pics) and then as soon as i get to anywhere that needs to load the whole thing locks up again.

I have reinstalled the game but that didnt help.

The windows (see attached pic) are messed up and also the textures are purple. Not really sure what to do here.

I cant remember the name of the area but its about 10 minutes after blowing some tanks up with the rocket launcher.

im running Win7 64bit. Video card is an ATI 6870.
i hope there is a simple fix for this.

when you reinstalled, did you do it from the same installation files or from a new download?

same installation files.
Im going to reinstall Win7 anyway because its been over 6 months and has slowed down a bit.
