Enslave the universe with much violence and blood, and no cake, for anyone.
What!?
He’s broken his promise to me then.
Either he’s god, or he is an evil maniac, trying to find out evryones fetiches, and then transport them in to gordons head, and will try to remind as mutch as he fetiches, and then … RAPE HIM!!!
Lemme post my very first theory I had of who I thought the G-man was.
SPOILER
…
G-man is an alien from another planet who is trying to free his own planet of the combine rule by using Earth to deafeat the combine.
Evidence:
-
He delivered the crystal to black Messa that triggered the cascade. Which allowed for the Combine to locate and take over earth, and hence the Combine War.
-
He assisted Gordon in destroying the citadel (a major loss for the combine).
-
He appears to let people live who are of “use to him” such as; alyx, gordon and Barney.
-
Eli seemed suspicious of the G-Man when he gave Black Messa the sample.
-
He is able to enter peoples minds hence he very well could be an alien.
-
The Vortignauts are aware of him. It is possible they may have known him before the cascade.
-
Never has he shown any support for the combine.
…
The body the Gman is in, Does it even belong to him?
We should never know who is G-man, maybe some parts here and there but that it !
your arguments are , undoublty arguments , but not for what you state
thats awsome, and they point some good things out in the quote.
Me and my friend have figured out who the G-man is. It is obviously George Foreman. This is because
- George Foreman
- The G-Mans suitcase is a portable George Foreman
- He can travel through space and time because he has eaten so much Fat reduced food that he has magical powers…and a speech disorder.
I hope I have cleared it up for everyone
Has anyone else thought of the possibility that the g-man may have been responsible for the borealis going bye bye? I mean, he brought the crystal to the lab at black mesa that caused all the shenanigans. maybe he did the same for ap-sci and his crystal(s) caused their accident?
Possibly.
In my personal theory about the borealis it wouldn’t work however.
I think that at the end of portal GlaDOS’s chamber is in the boarealis and when you defeat her she malfunctions and teleports the borealis to the arctic location although this theory still has its problems :fffuuu:
Gordon Freeman Has no, I stress, no relation to g-man.
Heck It’s anyone’s guess.
I doubt the g-man has anything to do with religious stuff.
g-man has to be half life’s version of chuck norris , like , G-Norris
[COLOR=‘Red’]noved, edit your previous post if you have something to add rather than double posting, please.
Sorry, double post (dodges flame)

Seems to me he would have given Alyx a more explicit message than “Prepare for unforseen circumstances” in regards to the Borealis. Considering she was the vessel for the message and it was reaching the two men who were to have the final say on what to do about the Borealis situation.
Knowing where the Borealis disappearance happened in the Half-Life continuity would be awfully handy in speculating about that theory, which is definitely interesting. Good thinkin’ Worfin.
and again the G-man is using us as his chess pieces.
The gman has always gently lured gordon to places, like the dock house in route kanal only to disappear and leave the player fighting zombies and headcrabs but with the promise of health and ammo afterward. Or when you see him by the switch that opens up the gate on the dam and he is gone when you get there. Warning everyone vaguely about the killing eli was just a much more brutal version of that. Now the resistance via gordon must go to the borealis, to use or stop whatever is on it. Maybe even finishing what the gman may have failed to do, like taking out ap-sci the way he took out black mesa. Now bring on the hunter/snowball fight.
True, in specific regards to Gordon, but considering he has adopted Gordon as an agent of his, I doubt he’d profit from Gordon knowing too much about his/it’s M.O. On the other hand, G-Man had no problem with ensuring that the Resonance Cascade happen by making sure the operating team went over the safety parameters of the Anti-Mass Spectrometer (which is likely what he and the Kleiner model scientist were arguing about in the office room leading up to the RC).
I’m pretty sure the scope of the G-Man’s plans is far beyond stopping a couple of theoretical research labs on Earth from dabbling in portal technology, though he could obviously see how interfering with such could help him in the greater scheme of things.
Again, what is curious to note (whether this was intentional on Valve’s part or not) is that the G-Man does seem to be governed by a set of rules that keeps him from interfering directly in events (not just on Earth, but I think in the large picture as well), as he could just as easily (presumably, given his supposed omniscience/potence) have done any number of things himself and have had them turn out the same way in the end.
The only thing I can say for certain about noticing this (if it was intentional by Valve) is that he’s not quite as impotent as we may believe, and that clearly there are ruling parties above even him.
Maybe this is too far out but the gman could have tried to do something at ap-sci like he did at black mesa, but glados was too smart and would have tried to stop him? Maybe he corrupted glados software? Just an idea. Plus, he did directly interact directly with the lab in hl1
