G-man Wallpaper

Hey,

I remade a wallpaper of Episode 1, color touch up and stuff.

You can download the full wallpaper on https://gallery.killomaster.be/#5.0
min: 1280x800px and the max res is 1920x1200px

I can’t wait for Black mesa ^^

It’s just a simple text edit.

Ah well, simple enough.

Thats what I said, color touch up and stuff.
Photoshop color filter and made the light effect on g-man beter, difference between black and white is less hard. Gave the door knob a beter shadow effect and edit the text to Black Mase.

Believe me, I know what’s been done, and what’s not been done.

And also, I think the Gman looks better in the first one IMHO.

I like the original better, tbh.

More is not always better. I like the original because he’s pale, not tan with a high contrast shadow.

EDIT: And to add text to an image you didn’t make is, for lack of a better term at the moment, plagiarism at its finest. Sure you may be able to mock up the color a bit and add some text, but then again, what person with nill photoshop experience can’t? The first thing I learned to do, was increase contrast and edit hue and saturation. Compose something from scratch and I’m sure you’ll get better reviews. We focus on originality first, then go into detail of how it reads and how colors interact.

What Victus said.

It’s not really something “you” created.

Give him a break, it’s obvious that he hasn’t got any experience with Ps and neither have I. I can’t blame him for trying to improve someting. The result isn’t particullary important.
Try to give him constructive criticism.

Just keep trying and eventually you’ll get better.

The very first line in my post is constructive criticism, and giving him a break in this situation isn’t the best of plans. Reason being, he’ll think it’s okay to keep taking images and making slight adjustments, we’ll then give him a ‘good job’ response to self empower him even further into thinking what he is doing is good.

To give you the best advice possible, head to https://www.abduzeedo.com, they have great tutorials for numerous design programs.

Great advice. I’ll head there. Thank you!

I’m not saying anything nasty, at least, I don’t intend to.

I used to be like this. (ITS TRUE GUYS IM SORRY)
So, for some colouring techniques and a simple touch-up, it’s nice.
I like the fact that you have made… the door knob shadow more intense.

Another nice site for PS related tutorials would be PSDTuts.

A bit more advanced, But it can get people going.

So if you are a fan of PSDtuts and Abduzeedo, you will have seen some of my work.
So i’m not a beginner, it’s just that i made slight adjustments to the original, because other people can’t and i did it for them.
A guy at a other forum asked me to do this for him, so why not and i allready made it for him so why don’t post it at other forums.
I didn’t put my name under it so get over it.
Some work off my that I can post, copy right and so (I work for a company so I can’t post every work I made, only stuff that i made in my spare time or school time.)https://gallery.killomaster.be/#0.4

Alriight, Keep your pants on. :hmph:

Some of the work there does look a bit beginner-ish. Still nice though.

And I noticed there was something from Video Copilot.

Also, Who’s that girl in the first image? Anyone in particular? She’s preetty[/size]

Friend of mine. (Nop no cell for you  )
And yes there is something of videocompilot but like I said, there was some older stuff from school, practice for Cinema 4D just basic stuff. But the tutorials off videocopilot are very nice to learn from.
It isn’t my official portfolio, it’s more for friends to post our pics after a night out  . Have to update it.

Yeah, fair enough.
Still nice stuff.

Gorgeous friend. ._.
