I used to think that OpenGL was designed by 3DFx in order to try to steal fame from Intel’s DirectX.

Turns out it’s the opposite, and neither 3Dfx or Intel are involved.

I also told someone there was an earthquake in France, because I forgot it was a storm.

OpenGL use to be ahead of DirectX…

Now OpenGL is playing catchup with DirectX…

OpenGL 2 is related to DX9
OpengGL 3.x is related to DX10.x
OpenGL 4 is related to DX11

Up till my 15th birthday I was convinced that sugar beet syrup was bumblebee honey. My grandma used to call it by that nickname, and thus I had always accepted it to be that. I had never bothered to read the label on the glass.

I don’t have misconceptions all that much, except when I used Amonia as eyewater, except that was rather painfull.
