Formula 1 2011. Red Bull vs McLaren Epic.

I just found out the other day that the webspace that comes with my ISP account doesn’t really have a limit. It says 50MB, but that’s only 50MB when every user is using it. Only about 5% of users use it so I should be able to chuck the files up just fine.

Which races did you want?

Not the last one (Nurburg) but the one before that. I don’t remember where it was and Speed’s website is currently broken. But only when I click on the schedule.

As you may already know…

Oh well. At least Button delayed his party till October. 1 fucking point.
I will be doing write-ups again since Suzuka. So hang in there.

P.S. Boy will I laugh if Button snatches the WDC in Abu Dhabi. May as well place a bet, just for shits and giggles.

haha, it’d be nice. But doubtful. If he scores anyway in the top ten then it’s over. Jenson for 2nd!

That’s what Hamilton is for

This being my first F1 season, is it common for the championship winner to dominate like Vettel has? Or are the points usually closer?

Well, Schumi dominated in a similar vein, but…
Last year was way closer. Or take a look at 2004 for example: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/2004_Formula_One_season#Drivers

Or even twenty-o-fucking-seven: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/2007_Formula_One_season#Drivers
Kimi was accccceeee

Plus the fact that there used to be 10 points given for 1st place instead of 25 until 2010.

That Red Bull is just too good… or all the others are just too bad.

It’s nice how, once they finally got all of their modifications in place, the other teams were actually competitive, but the Red Bull is still probably the best car, and Vettel is obviously the best this year at least.

I hope next year is more exciting than “oh hey Vettel won again” almost every race.

Looking at the link you posted, looks like Schumacher did pretty much the same thing Vettel is doing this year. Only better. Points are a lot closer, though. Did the FIA give any reason for the points increase? Or did they just think bigger numbers would be better?

Adrian Newey. Plus insane reliability this year.

Bigger gap between 1st and 2nd, more racers get points - an impetus of sorts + a response to a larger grid (3 new teams).
Before, you would quite comfortable with finishing 2nd. Now you aren’t.

BUTTON!

Still, fucking Vettel.

BIG BAD WOLF
WOO-WO-WOO-WOOOOOOOOOOOOOO

Write up coming up later

It’s good that Bernie finally recognized that some changes would need to made to keep F1 from getting any more boring than it was.

It’s probably been a good decade and change since I really really cared about Formula One racing.

yeah, making it pay-per-view from 2012 also makes it less boring.

fffuuuu

David! No! naughty david…

So how do you guys like India?

Founded in 2004, Leakfree.org became one of the first online communities dedicated to Valve’s Source engine development. It is more famously known for the formation of Black Mesa: Source under the 'Leakfree Modification Team' handle in September 2004.
