At the falling lift part of Blast Pit, I waited too long, leading to the lift falling and leaving me in the waste.
I couldn’t move when the lift fell (so I was just sitting waiting for the waste to kill me), as I assume is normal. But then I somehow managed to get underneath the map, meaning that I couldn’t die from the waste, seeing as there was none there to kill me. I just had to reload.
