Is there any weapon you would suggest that is either conceptional or combines two or more weapons into one?
In my opinion, I’d suggest a tau cannon/Thompson submachinegun combination, where the tau cannon module would be underslung on the bottom of the Thompson.
This will not end well.
I’d like an AR2 + SMG hybrid where you shoot like the AR2 but throw the combine orbs like the SMG grenades. Yeah, that’d be cool but pointless.
To be fair, there are a number of real-life weapons that started out this way and ended up developing into an entire class of weapons on their own. The best example of this is probably the STG44, which was kinda halfway between an SMG and a carbine and gave birth to the concept of the assault rifle. Who knows, maybe the soldier’s default weapon of the future will be born in the depths of this thread!

Personally that would be cool. Shoot from afar, something gets close not enough time to blast 50 9mm bullets into it, switch to 12-gauge mode and blast the thing back to whatever whole it came out of.
(plus Smg and shotguns are pretty much the only weapons I use through out the game)
