What is your favorite weapon of all time? That gun or blade or blunt object that you either have or would love to have? My personal favorite weapon is:

EDIT: I actually forgot another one of my favorites. Reading Pokemon Eater’s post reminded me:

I used to have one somewhat like this, but somehow it got broken. Terrible craftsmanship, but then again there are very few swords made by true master blacksmiths nowadays. Probably because metal smithing is almost a completely dead art.

So what are your favorites?

Either of these two. Probably the M14 if it’s select fire though, so it can be used at medium and long range.

You know what? Fuck guns. Fuck almost any ranged weapon, especially guns and crossbows. Any pissant piece of shit can learn how to use a crossbow or gun in a couple of weeks or months and kill somebody of greater skill with a different or same weapon if they have even a single factor in their favor.

If you want a real weapon, a mark of being a complete badass, use a sword. Rapier, sabre, claymore, longsword, broadsword or just about anything will do if you’re serious about demonstrating skill and elegance. Not to mention, it’s a cool accessory.

Longbows are also acceptable weapons of skill and badassery. Bows and slings will be the only ranged weapons I’d accept to exist if I somehow had such a power.

I can swing about a sword like a dumbfuck just like I can spray a gun like a dumbass. Sniping takes a lot of skill and devotion too, you know how long they sit in those nests or how hard it must be to try and calculate bullet drop or wind? Not every fool can get a steady hand with a gun either. Or how fast you draw your gun. I think you have a misguided sense of this probably originating from the “if its popular it must be shit” attitude.

Guns are the more common weapon because they are the better weapon.

I have to agree and disagree with your statement. Technically anyone can pick up any weapon and use it. However, to use it skillfully, like killing your target with a single swing or shot, you need years of practice. I do normally prefer swords to guns, but only because it seems to me that there was more honor in the world when the sword ruled. You actually had to face your opponent one on one. Armies may have marched into battle as a single entity, but when battle commenced it was less army vs. army than it was warrior vs. warrior, and the most skilled warrior won.
