I’ve been trying to come up with what my favorite would be and I simply cannot find a suitable one. I don’t think I CAN pick favorites, and I can’t even explain why. I don’t love them all equally, I just don’t have a favorite. I think it might be because I use certain ones against different enemies, I dunno.

Crowbar. No game gave me a bigger rush than the time I found out by accident that HL1 was cool enough to let you actually beat the end-boss, even as he is floating hundreds of feet above the ground, to death with a f***ing crowbar. I was playing my first time and I thought you had to do something complicated like shoot rockets into the brain from above. So I was jumping over and missing every time. Eventually, I jumped over and landed on the SOB when I mistimed the leap. Biggest surprise of my life. So I started to unload my SMG, only to find it empty and so I whipped out the crowbar and whaled on it.

  What other games give you that chance? Few, if any! They all make it a puzzle where you power-up a super-cannon, shoot the left eye three times and the right eye two times to open up its belly, or just unload your most powerful gun, reload, and repeat 100 times. But Valve said, "Let they who have the guts to climb and jump onto the monster be given the right to smack the SOB's brain with a small, bent piece of metal with some nicks in the paint-job." Beautiful...

If saw blades count as a weapon, I would like to add combine soldiers via the supercharged grav gun to favorite ammunition. That and the energy balls that bounce everywhere.

But they’re so unwieldy. If I drop one & try to pick it up again, half the time I end up grabbing a hand or a foot, which makes them hard to both carry & to throw.

It’s the only time in the game when I’m actually happy a squad of elite shock troops are headed straight in my direction! :slight_smile:

I like walking slowly with the shotgun in my hand, it looks like Terminator, so fucking pro. Also MP5 for shooting marines, I shoot them from high places and use the grenade launcher, I start yelling and I feel like Tony Montana kicking some asses in his mansion.

The other guns suck.

And obviously, the crowbar, is so fucking great. I love killing zombies with it.
