Evolution vs Creation

Where is Cup o Joe? His extreme cathlolicism made abortion topics very colourful.

Not to mention his hilarious cancer treatments.

why would a creationist come to this thread KNOWING he would be beaten to a pulp before he got a word in edgewise.

Oh wait!..

(runs out of the thread)

Actually, it’s usually after they’ve got a word in (about creationism).

To be honest, if a creationist came in here with a calm, open, friendly attitude, he would not be beaten to a pulp at all.

I’ll just leave this here…

Oh good god…

See Catz, that’s why some Creationists get laughed at. I have no problem with people being Creationists, but when they try to debunk scientific fact with thoughtless bitching they’re just going to be laughed at.

Maybe because so-called “evolutionists” are “beaten to a pulp” in the process of peer-review.

If creationists don’t want to go through the heat ‘evolutionists’ go through, then perhaps they should get out of the kitchen?

I was originally trying to be humorous and as usual I musta dun it rong cuz ya’ll didn’t laugh with me. Sorry.

Ah, I was just funnin’ ya. “Kidding on the square” as it were.

'sokay. I know better than to come in the debate area.

Carry on folks.

Yeah… Christianity reminds me of a cult, hundreds of thousands of people worshipping a God with some prophet claiming he is the way to salvation…
No wait it reminds me of every cult I’ve read of or heard about

I don’t understand why you view it like that.

My feelings get hurt too easy. I thought that was obvious.

Grow a hard shell on your skin like a catterpillar. Then come out as a butterfly, and drink honey and fly away in the sunse- wait that’s not gonna help. nvm

If you’re all about only believing what the facts tell you then why do you straight up deny the possible existence of a God. If facts haven’t disproved the existence of a greater being than isn’t a bit ignorant and close-minded to say it’s impossible?

Also, I want to say something about the “denial of facts” discussion brought up a few pages ago. You’re trying to say it’s wrong to look at facts and question them because they’re facts, but you seem to forget that science is not 100% accurate. They use to think the world was flat and that atoms were solid masses, so if we know from history that science may not be totally right, how is it wrong to look at the facts presented and say “But is that the real fact of it?”

@Catz: I’m curious to hear your opinion on the matter. This thread is getting a little too overrun by people who straight up believe a God can’t possibly exist and it would be refreshing to see a new opinion thrown into the mix.

Dino: Believing in evolution* is not incompatible with belief in a deity. I personally believe that the Christian god is a logical impossibility, but that has nothing to do with my “belief in evolution”. There are many devout Christians who believe in evolution.

* That phrase is rather silly to me because it’s like saying “believing in gravity” or “believing in biology”, but there it is.[/size]

You can’t prove that the sun is powered by invisible dinosaurs, yet I don’t give it much thought. Would you say that’s ignorant of me?

What can be asserted without proof can be dismissed without proof.

Finally, it’s kind of ridiculous to assume one can possibly disprove the existence of anything.

Prove I don’t have an undetectable dragon in my kitchen!

… fair enough.
