Please provide details. Where in the game were you, and what were you doing at the time?
Does it happen every time or just once?
I was at one of the first chapters, trying to get the “arternative-way-at-office” (i don’t know how to translate it properly) archivement (may be bm_c1a2c map?). I was inside the turret place looking down at the headcrabs, trying to kill them before get down.
And it was only one time. The next time i passed through there, i did it faster than previous one. And there’s no error.
My PC: Asus Sabertooth 990FX + AMD FX8150 + AMD HD6870 + 8GB DDR3 1333 (2x4GB )
Known bug that had been reported several (dozens, if not more) times.
Thanks for reporting it anyways as it is important to know all places and maps where this bug could be hit. You could switch model details to “Medium” or “Low” in the gfx setting dialog as a way to workaround this bug, it would lower the overall amount of vertexes game engine has to process each frame making it less probable to hit vertex buffer overflow.
Founded in 2004, Leakfree.org became one of the first online communities dedicated to Valve’s Source engine development. It is more famously known for the formation of Black Mesa: Source under the 'Leakfree Modification Team' handle in September 2004.
