Enemies 'disappearing' in bm_c2a2b [Fixed]

I’ve recorded a demo for you to see. The demo looks the same as I played it.
Enemies are there, but they are invisible.

I’m sorry if I posted some unrelated info about the VirusTotal, but hey, you can’t allways be sure what you download.

I’m not sure if this is related, but I’ve also noticed disappearing enemies throughout BMS. Notably, if you rush the first houndeye you see and attack it before it finishes its scripted animation, the houndeye will become invisible and resume its normal attack scripts. I’ve also had problems with repelling Marines becoming invisible as well. At first I thought I was just blind, but after a few reloads, I was able to see one that I could not before.

I will try to recreate this issue when I have time and post screenshots/videos.

Yeah, to me it seemed like you need to come from a specific direction to ‘activate’ enemies, otherwise they won’t start engaging.

Could you please provide info on your hardware and software specs as detailed in bug reporting guidelines? CPU/GPU/RAM/VRAM/OS, e.t.c.

Had you changed anything in BMS cfg files from the default values? Had you changed any cvars on console while playing for some reasons?

Confirming. Seems to be BM bug rather than hw/sw specific issue.

even though I don’t have the utmost best PC, it’s not a hardware issue, i guarantee you that.
And by running that demo I linked with my post, you can see the bug live too. So if it was indeed a hardware issue you wouldn’t see it on the demo.

I’ve already confirmed it to happen on three PCs I have ATM on hands, all having different hardware configs, e.t.c., e.t.c., and posted here about that fact. Pretty sure it’s a BM bug.

Looking at this video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zrueV9NWonE&feature=youtu.be
I start to think that this is a “feature” of the engine having HECU soldiers in a kind-a “unactivated” state until you trigger them somehow. And it seems that there is no visible model for thin unactivated state. Just a wild guess but it’s just what it looks like.
