That’s great, I wonder if it was intended to do that.

I have in the course of playing the mod and watching videos of it, seen some interesting and funny things.
Something similar to this happened to me except it was in the chapter “Questionable Ethics”

Would anyone like to share their stories/videos/pictures?
here’s some things i found.
I was in Office Complex, and I came across the scene where the 2 scientists get killed in the vent. So while they die and spew guts everywhere, one of my guards following me responded to it by “Does it looker cooler if I hold my gun like this?”
Really funny vid
Don’t know if this was posted already, but when you are in a big office cubicle room in OC where masses of vortigaunts spawn; if you go up the maintenance latter, and go into the elevator shaft, you will find a no-draw floor where the elevator doors are closed crooked halfway. If you noclip into that, you will see:
I think these initials are short for Carlos Montero, the lead developer of this awesome mod.
Here’s another one:
Actually called Chipsfrisch, a German brand, here it is frischChips.
This probably doesn’t go in the Easter Egg category, but probably does go in the Cool Stuff category.
When I left the parking lot in the Questionable Ethics biodome building, and went down the sidewalk next to the road that went to Surface Tension, I explored this security booth. I looked at everything, appalled by the detail, when I saw on a wall…
That.
A little picture of the end of HL: Blue Shift where you get into Rosenberg’s SUV, with Rosenberg in the picture and the other scientist starting up the SUV. For some reason that picture gave me nostalgia.
Uhh… “The infamous Derp Fish”?
That’s the “dopefish”… it references an easter egg from the original Quake, which in turn was a nod to Tom Hall’s creation in one of the Commander Keen games… and then the easter egg continued on through a few more id software games and even other games from other devs, which have always considered id software as the architect of the FPS.
Whenever someone references the Dopefish, it’s basically a nod to the old school FPS players that were deathmatching before a lot of the current gaming community could walk and talk.
‘42 is the answer’ coffee mug.
u-troled-em good
Possible Spaceballs* reference?
*The emergency shutdown for the self destruct sequence is broken and has a similar ‘needs fixing’ note attached to it.
Found a trio of napping houndeyes, oddly cute.
The Xen Crystal exploding if you wait too long in the test chamber is a reference to an unused line from Half-Life that was supposed to be used in the same situation
“He waited too long! We can’t contain it!”
Not sure if anyone else figured this out, but I just did so here goes: On the hallway in the beginning of Office Complex, the one that leads to the maintenance area, there’s a road flare sitting on a counter. Pick it up and throw it at a zombie and the sprinkler system turns on. Probably really late on this but I’ve played through OC so many times now it came to me by surprise.
Wow…cool never new that! Good find…
there is some awesome stuff in this game! i really need to get round to finishing it!
Also a possible reference to HAL 9000
I also got one . Its in the room where you bring the scientist to open the " are where you can find supplies " . Its in unforseen consequences where you first find the " screaming dogs " (thats what I call them) . The door behind where the zombie was eating . It had a sign saying " Notice : Thank you for noticing this notice : Your noticing of this notice has been noticed " and something like that .
*Edit :
So I was just playing Black Mesa the other day and I found out that there were many easter eggs in Questionable Ethics . Here are a few :
Not sure if all of these are easter eggs :
The first one is a pizza , which is what you guys seem to be talking about .
Next is a picture of a cat that is named like a doctor or a scientist (I guess Valve like cats)
Here is a " No alcoholic beverages " sign that says if a person drinks alcoholic beverages , it will result in an explosion (maybe that was the real cause why the experiment on anomalous materials resulted in an error)
Another one is one the menu list - " Cola Bola " - I mean . . . Dafuq is a Cola Bola ? A Coca - Cola Meatball ?
The next one is a photo that show that Valve really does approve a PC than a Mac and a Mozilla Firefox than a Google Chrome and runs on a Windows 2000 (I think)
(I didn’t include this one’s picture because there are already too many pictures , but you can find this in any vending machine you will find throughout the game) The last one is the infamous Alpine Hue (that has a Mountain Dew - like design ) which is similar to the TV being named " Fony "
Founded in 2004, Leakfree.org became one of the first online communities dedicated to Valve’s Source engine development. It is more famously known for the formation of Black Mesa: Source under the 'Leakfree Modification Team' handle in September 2004.
