Tomorrow is my second day of school. Why couldn’t it have been earlier.
EDIT: Yes… You’re not supposed to care or something…

What.
Edit: I mean, you just started school? In the summer?!
My summer vacation started in March and ended yesterday. About 72 days.
well sure the FPS genre is becoming stale but there are still new things you can do in it.
I’m not sure FPS is totally dead yet and Valve doesn’t seem keen on switching genre anytime soon. Do you imagine some RTS, MMO or even RPG from Valve?
or how about a racing game from Valve?
wait what? am I crazy?
Your one of dem upsidedowners.
MOAR FPS
and you’re one of dem downsideupners.
and I’m one of those sideupdowners
And I’m one of those upinsiders.
:what:
that is so true, valve new that so they started making games like portal and such, the only FPS im looking forward to (besides EP3) is halo reach
You summed up my opinion pretty well. I’d much rather have a well-developed carefully thought out shooter than a crappy virtual fitness game or a game where you pet a tiger named Skittles. What is the point of a fitness game anyway? Play a real sport or do some real exercise. I would so much rather jog through a park (or a bustling polluted city for that matter) than jog in place in my boring living room while staring at a screen. And I would so much rather go bowling or play a game of tennis than wave a wii mote around.
EDIT: Oops, the qoute didn’t work, this was directed at winged on saying all I say is bad casual.
any news on Vice City 2?
The point of a fitness game is that it sells, and takes no creativity to produce not to mention is almost guaranteed to do fairly well based on its track record.
the slim looks hot
Having seen a few of the demos, I can assemble the following opinions:
Halo Reach-Looks like a halo game. Its nice to see they are going somewhere new with the gameplay, and I think it will be good, but nothing amazing.
COD Whatever- Meh. Solid meh. They started in a small cave and then started being in a rail shooter over a nice looking environment of a locale that has been done before, better.
Gears of War 3- I don’t really care, but it looks fine.
Same here but there is no Xbox Live here.
Why are you people taking gaming so seriously? There’s more to life than playing videogames, so stop complaining about publishers/developers bringing fun games for the entire family, rather than hardcore-progaming-graphicsdriven-shitgameplay games for the one kid in a family that hopes to find a job as a professional gamer.
Games are meant to be fun, they’re not made to make you feel better than others because you manage to slice a person up in 3 more pieces than the previous guy.
uh yeah. and different people have different ideas of fun.
we as hardcore gamers don’t think a fitness game is fun. also we don’t like sports games.
we want HARDCORE FPS DAMMIT! HAAAAARDCOOOORE!. ARGH
DIE BITCHES! blam blam blam
Yes, however some people get more enjoyment out of “hardcore” games. It becomes annoying to see a product that you enjoy get watered down/abandoned by mainstream/big name companies. Gaming is an industry, if causal gaming makes more money soon small timers will come to adopt this trend as well. Less hardcore games means less fun for me at least. And it’s not even like motion controls is something that means the game has to be causal its just something companies are doing, I think Nintendo is going to show them how you do it (make a game without gimmicky game play and have motion control) with the next Zelda.
