duke nukem forever may be back folks!!!

It kinda does when they hadn’t planned on explaining it.

So there has to be cutscenes for there to be story?

I didn’t say that.

Well, what way do you want them explaining?

I didn’t say I wanted them to. I think it’s an awesome game just the way it is. But I don’t think it’s the story that makes it so at all.

Okay, we can agree now.

Yes, I win! :stuck_out_tongue:

Duke Nukem has tons of potential. The problem is that everyone now associates DN in general with the whole duke nukem forever fiasco. In order for any success, i imagine they have to start from scratch. Personally, I would be satisfied with an updated version of the original. Keep the aliens invading earth to capture babes shit, why not, duke nukem isnt some wholesome family game. Who cares why they want them, they are hot and a reason for Duke to kick ass…and chew bubblegum. Yea, I said it…

Honestly, Duke Nukem 3D is an awesome blueprint that just needs updating. Good controls, new graphics, ridiculous alien gore, physics, etc… Keep all the enemies, but add some. Stick to similar environments, just diversify them. His arsenal was always fun and definitely unique. The bosses were epic. All thats needed are some good alien-inspired puzzles in order to rescue the babes, and possibly platforming and jetpack implementation (a lot of people forget he had a jetpack). Youd have a badass duke game.

At least it would be better than some twisted fuck called duke nukem: forever: rehashed a million times edition. I dont know about any of you, but its been at least 10 years since Ive even seen DN3D running on a computer. I barely remember the details. Besides, younger gamers probably dont even know WTF duke nukem 3d is.

I wouldnt mind playing a fun, updated version of it. If done correctly, it would probably sell better than a brand new story anyway. my worthless 2 cents.

I always thought someone needed to make remake DN3D.

Wheybags, we both won. :stuck_out_tongue:

It’s Duke Nukem Forever, a game that could have easily been releasd in '04 with lukewarm reception. To summarise: 14 years of waiting, it’s duke nukem, nobody cares anymore.
/thread

How much news did you actually hear about duke nukem forever? Not a whole lot, you honestly had to search the net. The general public forgot about duke nukem and certainly dont hate the idea of a duke game. They arent like you; bitter, and following duke for 14 years.

If a new Duke Nukem 3D game is inherently good and fun to play (and marketed well), why would release dates matter? Time only allows for improved technology and memories to fade, allowing for a fresher experience. Look at all the fucking horror movie remakes recently, they make tons of money in the box office. Dont ask me why, they all suck, but you cant argue that duke nukem has no potential and cant be successful. Duke Nukem in 2015.

ummm…/thread?

i think M. night Shyamalan should take over creating Duke nukem forever.
the twist could be duke nukem becoming relevant again

/thread (third times the charm…i hope)

anyone else been kicked out of ladbrokes for getting loud + angry that they wouldnt let ya bet on duke?

once i ran out of gum they called the police

When was Duke Nukem ever relevant to anything? Its aliens kidnapping hot chicks, an excuse for violence and controversy.

I love you HPN.

Fake trailer FYI

i think duke nukem 3d is an awsome and fun game and i would be happy on a remake of it  thanks to eduke32 we can still enjoy the game on our new computers ^^. and about dnf here is and part of an interview with george broussard:
Duke Nukem fan: [Is] DNF cancelled?

George Broussard: Two facts: We haven’t said anything. The [3DR DNF] forum is still open.

but this may also mean that if they can, they willl complete the game hopefully without any more delays :frowning:

shorter said: they are not sure… :meh:

:mono:

If they release whatever they have now, it will probably suck.

 ever noticed HPN (if you watched harold and kumar NPH! similar, but said in awe voice)
