Drum and Bass in your face!

Check out my latest music track:

Download MP3: THA - Solarphage.mp3

It’s Drum and Bass of the loud and heavy variety. 181 bpm. The beat drops around 40 seconds in. My favorite part is the section from 1:25 to 1:56.

Also, here’s an Audiosurf video of it: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wBHv46w9Bkk

The sidewinder mode in AudioSurf makes my brain hurt, it’s so hard to focus on the blocks when the track keeps shifting left and right. x___x

Badass. You did a great work on it. What program are you using?

Thanks!

I use Jeskola Buzz Tracker. You can download it here: buzzmachines.com.

This particular track is pretty much all Native Instruments VSTs though. Absynth, Reaktor, FM8 and Kore 2, loaded into Buzz.

Whoa man, that was amazing! You have a new fan.

I especially loved the part between 1:46 and 1:56.

I don’t want to be a prick but i think that the third part of the song, after it becomes fast again, is a bit too similar to the first part and could have done with a little more variety.

Anyway, the song as whole was truly excellent and I’d really love to hear more of your work. I’d like to add that this song reminded me of The Prodigy and Pendulum and would fit perfectly onto something like a Need For Speed soundtrack, which is a very good thing IMO.

Ok thanks. :stuck_out_tongue:

That song’s pretty cool. Got me checkin out some more of your music.

I LOVE this one:

It’s amazing man!

Sweet, nice track.

Ditto everyone else here man, you’ve got a good ear
.

Well, the drumbeat was probalby the most generic D&B drumbeat there is. Didn’t really like the blunt sawtooth sound half of the track consisted, and I think the part from 2:45 onwards was pretty unnecessary. I loved the transition ~1:46. 1:46-1:57 that the chorus-type half of the part sounds great, but the other half of it fails in comparison. Rest of the track is really good. Good job.

Thanks!

Thanks, glad you liked the track! There’s a bunch of music on my site. Even a few packs, like the 1997 to 2007 torrent. There’s probably around 250 mp3s if you snag the packs and few individual mp3s.

As for that last part sounding a lot like the first part, they were identical. The only thing missing was a guy shouting, “reeeewinnnnnndddd” to let you know that the song just restarted. :fffuuu:

Woo! I like that one too. I plan on doing some more like that eventually. :3

No no no, I already used the most generic DnB drumbeat there is in another song. This is more like the second or third most generic DnB drumbeat. Jeeeeeeez, get your generic beats straight!

could you please provide a link to your site?

omg, YOU are THA? I thought it was some kind of famous band which i’d heard of the first time in the portal prelude soundtrack!

You sir, are really talented :open_mouth:

^Ditto!

I just listened to Mode 7 and I must say I am thoroughly impressed. At first, when I read the description i was a bit skeptical as to “what four Nintendo Game Boy handhelds playing in unison would sound like”. :stuck_out_tongue:

Man, the transition at 00: 30 was the best part of the song! Excellent work, gonna go check out some more…

To bad i can’t litsen to it, everything I play in WMP sounds like assmunch in a grinder. :[

come on, get VLC or RealPlayer!

Seriously? Real player?

Yeah, i know it has a rep like Vista but it works for those for whom it works.

Except it uses a gazilion gigabytes of memory when running.
It’s even worse than Itunes.

And VLC is great for the fact it plays nearly every possible extention, and it’s low memory consumption. But it’s interface is shit.
If you want all music in one place for easy listening, without the player taking up half your memory, just use WMP or WinAmp.
