Dream thread

O¬o
wat? why? i dont even… i cant even imagine a sleeping man doing such… oh…

:hmph:

I don’t care: you can’t see into the future. The whole point of deja vu is that your brain makes you think you saw the same thing twice, either while awake or in a dream.

Tell you what: if you can see into the future in your next 100 dreams and can prove it, I won’t disagree with you anymore.

And the fact you bet money on it and won doesn’t validate it. It just means you’re both incredibly stupid and lucky.

I dreamed I was walking down the beach right before the very first gunship battle in Half-Life 2. It was quiet and serene, but as I rounded a corner, I saw my house in the middle of the beach. I heard the roaring of water but the tsunami passed right through me, only to break down my house like a sandcastle. I looked up and saw some birds flying, but then one of them fell to the ground, dead. I was holding a smoking gun pointed where the bird had been. Another bird flew past and all of a sudden I was in the future, but still on the beach. A city had been built. Everyone in it was dead, fresh dead, too. There was a family who had died eating dinner. A basset hound was face down in his water-bowl, a little hint of red tainting the clear water. A little girl had been playing with her food, there was a smiley face drawn in the potatoes. I looked down at it, and I could hear screaming off in the distance. I woke up.
I am scared, I couldn’t think of anything else today. It was so vivid, I can remember the way the smell of death hung over the city. I felt like I was suffocating from all of it and I wanted to cry for all the dead families and the dogs and cats and birds. Shit, now I sound like a wuss.
Uhh… I can’t wait for Balck Meas to come out. Media pl0x?

My dreams get seriously fucked up.

I’m sure all of you know how my grandfather passed away in May. Well, last night I dreamed it was my grandmother that died. Using some weird time travel machine, I went back in time to when my grandmother died. I went to the hospital and saw my mom standing there. She looked at me and said hello, but I knew she was about to cry. I went and hugged her and we were bawling. We then went in the room and paid our respects to my grandmother (who is alive and well in reality).

Quite suddenly, Kain, Janos Audron, and Raziel, all characters from Legacy of Kain, appeared in a flash of light. My mother was with me, but it was not a mourning atmosphere anymore. We watched the fight between Raziel and Kain in the Avernus Cathedral. The dialogue when Raziel ripped out Kain’s heart and kicked him into the Demon Dimension was spot on, and my mom was like “Ew.” I don’t remember much else from then on.

I don’t know why my dreams are centered on LOK nowadays.

This is how my dreams tend to be.

You seriously love Legacy of Kain, don’cha?

I think my best dreams are the ones with distinct senses.

One of the coolest dreams I’ve had ended with me stranded on a rocky basalt island in the sea, all black and pointy. I heard this rushing sound coming from very far away and felt a breeze (literally felt a breeze). Turning round, I saw this line of water stretching across the horizon, and as it got closer I realised it was a giant tsunami. It was so awesomely high too, it’s hard to describe the sheer enormity of it.

I futilely hid behind a rocky spur in the middle of the island, crouching down with my hands over my head as the roaring colossus rushed towards me, getting louder and louder, and the breeze getting stronger and stronger, waiting for it to finally hit. Sat there with my hands over my head, I waited. Nothing.

I looked up and realised I had actually woken without realising it. I’ve never had that before: I generally know instantly when I’ve woken up, and I’ve never had such a perfect transition before or since.

I love dreams where I’m underwater for an extended period of time. Then I realize I can breath. I’m always like “I never knew I could do this! This is awesome!” I then wake up.

How do you know you were hitting your head on the bed?

I don’t care what people think but I really like love dreams. Always I meet the perfect person in the dream. I’ll wake up smiling and it puts me through a good mood all day. Until i get home and go to bed. I’ll try to remember the dream and it always fucks me over in the end cause i’ll have either a weird dream or a fucked up dream. I guess it’s a love/hate relationship. :retard:

I dreamed last night that I was was going to audition for a movie part at a dive bar. I guess it had something to do with martial arts, as I was being told to warm up. Then I saw the last woman I had sex with, and she was pissed to see me there. when they opened the door to let us all into the bar she pushed passed me and into the ladies room.

The bar turned into a party at a big house that was falling apart, and I had trouble getting out of it as the staircase was missing a few steps, and falling down a few flights was a distinct possibility.

When I got outside, the kid who lived there was being busted by his parents, and someone had stolen my new leather coat :frowning:

Love hat, huh? Fetishist! :stuck_out_tongue:

shit GOD DAMN TYPOS! love/hate relationship

Fix’d? FIX’D?!! Your ‘fixed’ version didn’t make any more sense than the original! :rage:

Haha, that’s awesome. At least you have some sense of what you dreamed, for a little while. Reading all these really interesting dreams is just weird for me, it’s like a whole side of life I have no experience of.

Fine. I’ll do it. Or else I will wear a tie.

The grammar is at least a little better then first.

Last night, I was watching a football game with my friends whilst eating dinner. Problem was, they were actively renovating the stadium while the game was going on. The workers were pulling up an exceptionally fat worker up on a pulley. Suddenly, the workers were like “Hey! Hey! Hey! Hey!” I look up, and the fat worker is unintentionally shoving all the metal supports about with his girth. One flies off onto a lower level and knocks a rather large ladder free. This consequently fell over onto the field and crushed a few players (I don’t remember their names, all that I know is that they don’t exist in real life). They all then limped off the stadium while the game was called. The event was replayed from different angles over and over. As each replay occurred, the amount of people struck decreased until it was just one person, then that athlete turned into a boy who had snuck onto the field. He was alright, though.

It was probably inspired by the fact they are in the process of constructing a new dorm right outside mine.

I sort of half woke up a couple times during it. Just enough for me to have some sense of what was happening.

Last night, I dreamt that Ram was holding a contest for Beta testers. Groups of three got in if they figured out the secret phrase, one word for each of them. I and two others figured it out and were inducted into the Beta testers. There were three other groups of three (the only real member in the list besides myself was bacon). A new section of the forum was opened.

Then, I woke up in the dream. I was like wow, weird dream. I went downstairs into my kitchen to say good morning to my mom. Then I woke up for real. I was in my dorm. :frowning:
