Dota 2

u too getting only musik an a vs. screen?

IT BEGINS!

looks like diablo 3

They have good designers, like Blizzard. And dota was a mod for Warcraft 3 so there is a similiar style to the work of Blizzard.

Damn, lag huh.

And Tiny is a boss. I’ve always feared him in Dota.

@DiePoente

no fucking shit…

Good to know, that you know it.

I’ve got the stream running atm. I have no idea what’s going on but it’s very pretty to look at and seems to be getting quite intense at times, also i wasn’t expecting the quake sound effects

Me neither. I’m sure you can turn them off, they don’t really fit into a fantasy style game.

Might kill HoN, wont kill LoL.

I’ll play DotA2 and LoL

HoN went FTP too late in an attempt to stop being outshadowed by LoL, it’s going to die soon.

Anyone remember when the first pictures of dotA2 was revealed and LoL posted a twitter post about it looking like a LoL copycat?

CS was a mod for HL too.

Aren’t LoL was created because of original DotA too?

LoL was created by the person who originally thought up Dota, Guinsoo. In Guinsoo’s Dota, there were many imbalances and the game was quite different. Icefrog came around and made it the giant it is today. So, they’re both technically made by the creators of Dota.

The chick at the start of the vid looks like Sylvanas Windrunner for Warcraft

She’s Drow Ranger I think, or possibly the Windrunner hero. Not bothering to look at the vid again. Drow was Sylvanas’ Forsaken model in Dota, and Windrunner was her original High-Elf model, so that’s why they look so similar.

EDIT: Gabe has apparently played over 800 hours of Dota 2.

So anyone has seen the Dota 2 championship. I thought it was dull and boring.

It was

I’ve only seen the first game of the championship but I thought it was actually quite intense and fun to watch.
But I guess you should at least have played a few games of DotA before. I imagine it would be quite hard to get what’s going on otherwise

I watched a round at Gamescom. Damn that one team got a**raped. It was fun watching it together with the crowd.
