I am with wheybags actually. I am sure the dog couldn’t care less what color his fur is, but I DO think a dog gets a bit disgruntled over being forced to wear “clothes”.

As long as the process of hair dyeing is not painful to the dog, I see nothing against it. Humiliation is not an argument. Dogs are tamed and trained by use of humiliation.

Reminds me of that South African farmer who kept getting uninvited visitors to steal his crops and grain etc, so one day he shaved his dog to look like a lion. He didn’t get any unwanted visitors anymore.

I’m fairly certain the dog doesn’t care what it looks like. I wouldn’t personally dye my dogs any color, but as Catz and wheybags said, it’s not nearly as bad as putting ridiculous clothes on a dog. It’s a fucking dog, it has a fur coat. It doesn’t need your shitty knitted sweaters!

I think it depends on what kind of fur the dog has before putting clothes on. I’ve seen a dog the other day, and it barely had any fur to speak of. It kinda needed the small vest. Small, not as ridiculous and designed for dogs. Otherwise it’d be a cold, lonely chihuahua.

So basicly: Normal amount of fur=no clothes

barely any fur and (almost) furless=maybe a small vest on rainy days.

Putting clothes on dogs/cats/animals in general can be considered an act of animal cruelty, seeing as they can cause permanent damage (hot spots, permanent hairloss on specific spots, rash, limited movement that can cause warped bones, etc).

Dyeing your dog’s fur just makes it look retarded (and thus enough not to do that to your pet)
