Doesn't start

I’ve installed the game but now it doesn’t start, even when I ticked “Run Black Mesa Source” at the end of the installation nothing happened.

Restarted Steam so the shortcut was there, but still when I click it nothing happens. No error message, no nothing. I’ve checked the BMS folder and can’t find any .exe files, could that be it?

I’ve got exactly the same problem. PC reboot didn’t help either. Any tips?

I managed to fix it by going into my Steam library, going to Tools, and downloading Source SDK 2007.

Yeah I went into steam and saw the 2007 lib was loading. Once it finished that it started.

Yup, you need source sdk base 2007 installed in order to run Black Mesa.

steam://install/218 <- Will install if it isn’t already.
