Do you suffer from Mapathy?

Its a game in witch campers are awarded…what more can be said?

In reality, aren’t snipers “campers?” What about Soldiers or Marines who take up defensive positions? Or machine gunners with immobile guns? What about ambushes?

Camping is a tactic. It is a viable tactic. The more logical the camping spot, the more viable it is (I agree that camping over a door is stupid, unless it’s a door to a major sniping or MG position.) The way around it is to develop a counter-tactic…just like in reality. In reality, you don’t see people running from one side of the battlefield to the other, jumping every other step, you see them go to certain places and stop, and stay there until they need to move…they camp. How are they beaten? Counter-camp tactics.

Camping in the smallest annoyance in videogames. Hacking, cheating, ghosting, boxing, and bunnyhopping are ten times more annoying than camping.

yeah, they are

and real life isn’t fun

So true.

I dare say the fact no mods have repremanded his use of large red all caps, there must be some merit to this…

and also, yes he’s absolutely right.

Haha, $15 for 3 new maps and 2 re-hashes? Fucking Activision. These idiots will lap it up!

That video was wholely inaccurate. Women don’t play video games…

Unless it’s a casual game like mw2.

Totally agree.

If you snipe, you should be camping.

but it’s more fun to snipe while running full-speed at the enemy

Thanks, Tiki.

Tiki is right though, especially if you throw a flashbang at yourself beforehand…

I really cant give any sort of logical reply to that, but ill try. Its a game, there are points, there are perks, there are game menus, its not real life. In real life you don’t get perks to help you dominate, you don’t get a second chance when you get shot. If the purpose of the game was realism, then they shouldn’t of added perks, and it should of been a squad based (skill level) game. The moment they threw realism off the table they should of done their absolute best to balance low and high levels so every game felt fair. But…this was not the case. Instead you get some fat kid from Texas sitting behind a bush the entire game shooting everyone that walks by and eventually gets a nuke strike. Maybe some of the fault is in players, but when 1/4 of every games ends in a nuke strike then something has to be done. The game is broken beyond repair, but by all means play it.

it’s a 21st century military game, not Halo, you don’t have to hop on the back of a warthog to be pro.

Halo was released in '01.

Sorry, I just had to.[/SIZE]

Technically true.

Founded in 2004, Leakfree.org became one of the first online communities dedicated to Valve’s Source engine development. It is more famously known for the formation of Black Mesa: Source under the 'Leakfree Modification Team' handle in September 2004.
