Did a recent update break Black Mesa's Hammer?

It’s been a while since I used hammer last, so I can’t tell exactly when it happened, but it looks like one of them might have broken Hammer, at least for me.
When I try to start it, my cursor does the loading animation, but nothing happens afterward. Hammer doesn’t even show up in task manager.

I’m running the most recent version of Windows 10 Pro, and I’m certain it’s not a firewall issue, because Hammer for other games works just fine, without hesitation.

The (probably) most useful information I have on it is that whenever I try to start it, I get two application event logs in the Windows Event Viewer, one of them labeled as an error that directly references hammer.exe.

My bad if this is the wrong section. It doesn’t really count under any of the bug reporting sections specifically.

don’t run hammer in any of the beta versions of the game

I wasn’t running a beta version, just the most recent public release.

Anyway, the only way I could fix it was by deleting the whole bin folder then verifying my game’s files again. Sucks I lost all of my settings though.
I still have the old bin files though, so does anyone know what file hammer configurations are stored in so I don’t have to redo everything?

its Gameconfig.txt you could have just renamed the Bin folder to bin_old and dl’ed a fresh copy

That’s what I did, I shouldn’t have really said “deleted”.
Anyway, GameConfig.txt just lists mounted content and directories and such, doesn’t it? I’m looking to get my compile settings back, among other things.

I’m running Hammer right now on the “public beta” version, no problems whatsoever.

i think the file your looking for is the CmdSeq.wc file

Yes, that’s the one! Thanks a bundle.
