To add to the topic, I don’t see why would people spend money on items from other players. Looking for the items you’d want to buy is free and gives your character experience, no? I don’t see how that action house system would be useful.
It would only deter from the actual gameplay.
While it looks good on paper - it brings into the game economy rather unwanted assets that are not integral to the system. Add 3 fees (!) per average transfer and the fact that you can(?) buy gold - and we see a typical Jewnited States money grab scheme.
It does not provide any comfort - it only encourages shitty subjects to directly influence the turnover.
But don’t try to find any logical decision from blizzard here. This is just another conveniently constructed and marketed scheme to make tons of silly chinese and american money off it pretending to cure the cancer that is duping.
Come think of it, D3 will have a whole lot more dupers than DII during it’s peak now that it has direct income from every piece of binary sold, compare to indirect scheme of banning and selling more cd-keys in DII they’ve been running in for years.

Seriously… dark and gritty graphics similar to diablo 1 AND the materia system from FF7 (closest comparison I can think of for ‘gems’), basically infinitely better than Diablo 3- I just wish it had their kind of budget. Shit looks tight though.
