Day Dream suggestion thread

there needs to be military grunts with rpgs on hard.

Actually, this would be a cool idea to implement for that scene in office complex where the two scientists get drug into the vent and dismembered.

lol wat

Well I’ll be.

Actually, you already are.

For me, I’d like to see a bit more of the Agrunt and Garg production facilities on Xen (it’d be interesting to see Vorts working on growing big versions of themselves and splicing in the more volatile parts of Snarks, just for shits and giggles of course :stuck_out_tongue: ).

My day dream suggestion:
Keep the original HL1: shift = walk, Shift != HEV sprint (Like in HL2) :c

You can change the controls, you know…

…You missed the point entirely. It’s the fact that there’s a limitted speed boost in movement (Like HL2), unlike in HL1 where it’s always run (Not as fast as the HL2 speed boost) and shift is walk, I feel that I’ll be using the sprint a lot in BMS as it is there, i’d like to have the classic feel.
That’s just me, everyone else seems to outvote it so the HEV mark IV will gain a mark V ability.

I walked with the use key…

Meh, I’ll stop my complaining as it’ll never change, and I’ll still enjoy BMS (Even if it actually SUCKS).

My other day-dream suggestion:
Minimal graphic mode! Where the textures are shrunk to 32x32 resolution! Graphics take a DX7 look to them! (bscly this for BMS)
mat_showlowresimage 1

Maybe a tiny bit higher resulution? That looks even worse than doom :stuck_out_tongue:

Yuck Raminator… How could you desecrate your work like that? >:O

Id also like to walk by default and run by using a secondary function, like the shift key. I dont want to speed through Black Mesa, I want to enjoy it! And it would suck to always have to hold down a key in order to do so. What about making the controls interchangeable, so you can choose whether you want to run or walk by default?

Hm, that suggestion actually belongs into the other suggestion thread, I think…

Gief a minigame about the alt ending of the game :open_mouth: u get teleported to the aliens with a crowbar and u start to beat the shit out of the alien suckers!!! :fffuuu:

mat_picmip 4  (you made need sv_cheats)

And no HEV suit?

I dunno, didn’t think about that…I guess HEV suit is a must…It’s like Gordanz SKIN!:freeman:

They are interchangeable, to some extent. You can use console cvars like cl_forwardspeed, cl_backspeed, cl_sidespeed, and cl_upspeed to change the default speed at which the player moves. If you want HL1 speed, you just up these values, and you sprint all the time! If you’re clever, you can even put them in a .cfg file, so you don’t have to do it manually every time you start the mod. And then source games already have a key for walking, don’t they? So you can use that if you want to slow down.

gibbin’barnacles

That would be so cool.

Edit:

Founded in 2004, Leakfree.org became one of the first online communities dedicated to Valve’s Source engine development. It is more famously known for the formation of Black Mesa: Source under the 'Leakfree Modification Team' handle in September 2004.
