Alright.
The A.I. takes cover appropriately, fires realistically, DIES WHEN SHOT, runs from point a to point b correctly, responds to me correctly, and that’s more than I can say about some other games.
The graphics are better than HL2. They aren’t as good as crysis, yes, but they’re good.

The plot and voice acting are good. It’s my opinion, really, but they are.

The gameplay gives you hundreds of onscreen enemys at once, with everything from period weapons to energy flamethrowers.

So I really just don’t see the issue here, and would appreciate some details.

Ah. I see the problem.

I didn’t pay attention to any of the hype, I didn’t watch any trailers or see any interviews, I just heard a bit about the plot, mentioned it sounded interesting, and someone gave it to me for christmas. Therefore, when I started playing it, I had no idea what to expect. Hence, I had little to no expectations, and so it exceeded my expectations in every way.

You guys, on the other hand, had your expectations raised from all the hype, so it seemed like a major failure when it was really just a good (but overhyped) game.

So I think that’s why everyone hates it.

Yeah, some religious people over react about everything! And it even comes to races! Some black lawyer wanted to sue Left 4 Dead 2 because only half of the survivrs were black! He’s the real racist!

@Danny Smith: Not because only 2 survivors were black, because the game was allegedly racist because of black zombies or something to that effect. People were also accusing Resident Evil 5 of the same thing.

everyone hates it so much because it’s not that good, but i wont blame them since it’s their first game; but with traveling back to old wars or “the darkest of days” they could have used so many other good wars but instead they stick to the boring same ones. Everyone seems to look the same, the AI is pretty terrible and all up it’s just not an amazing game.
