CSM issues

The new shadows(CSM) look really nice for the most part, but there are some issues here and there.
Most notably they overlay on the original source engine style shadows, in some cases even slightly offset:



There are also issues like shadow “acne” or shadows fading away depending on the viewing angle:



In other instances they fade in a circular shape towards the player.

Also on the highest setting(soft-shadows) it tanks the performance quite considerable. Usually I have 80-200fps, even with CSM set to the second best option. With the best option I barely get 60fps and often just 20-30fps. Even nvidias PCSS in GTA V isn’t that bad.
