Crysis 3

Whatever happened to this guy and his free copy of Crysis 3.

So it’s directx 11 only. That’s cool. I guess I won’t be playing it then.

My computer is a piece of shit with an integrated graphics card, but I still have DX11…

How do you not have a DX11 card?

Just a tip if you don’t have a high-end GPU and want a smoother gameplay…in the Advanced Graphics setting turn the Particle option to low and you will gain around 10 FPS (depending on your system)as this seems to be the biggest resource hog and in my opinion just isn’t worth it if you don’t have the best rig out there.

Shader quality is also a pretty major option in the regard; it normally gives a huge boost, but has a really major effect on the graphics quality.

My game is getting great FPS when it works, but I had some freezing problems early on that are getting worse and worse, to the point that the game is now unplayable. I found one other dude on the internet with the same problem, but no one on the support forums has any ideas. Fucking blows.

That’s interesting…I did some tweaking today and didn’t notice any frame drops when I set that option from low-medium to high(maybe 1-2 frames at worse).

Is there a FOV slider?

How is it in terms of PC options?

From looking around there doesn’t seem to be a fov slider but there’s quite a bit of graphics options, including like 20 different kinds and levels of antialiasing.

There’s also utility that I’m too lazy to link to that was released by Crytek that lets tweak more than you could ever possibly want to. Except the FOV (which is 80, I believe).

Apparently it was bugged so they removed it temporarily, it’s coming back in a patch but you can still change it from the console in the meantime

Haha wow the guy who played the gameplay for that trailer was Nanosuit Ninja, I guess Crytek was impressed with his Crysis 1 videos.

too bad he didn’t get to show off much.

Because I bought my gpu 5 years ago.

the 7870 is very good and not that much for a card of its status.

Well I finished the game. It was a bit shorter than it could have been, but overall I’d say it played better than Crysis 2.

I really hope the modding community for this one isn’t dead in the water like Crysis 2.

^ I really hope so too. A big part of that was because they released the SDK many months after C2 came out. Hopefully they won’t do the same thing again.

I’m playing it right now, it’s actually really fun. I’m also glad they made the vehicles first person again.

Also the game is gorgeous. Especially in the first couple of outdoor areas, visually, I felt like I was playing in a piece of concept art.
