Seems legit. (but 2 hours still :rage
Started at 10 minutes, I was like okay.
Checked after a bit, it said 7 minutes.
Just checked now it says 10 hours
So my room was pitch black, except for the light coming from my screen, and I had noise-reducing headphones on. I played it for like 5 seconds and decided to fuck off and play it tomorrow, I don’t want to have a heart attack.
I’m kind of a pussy for jumper-stuff, too.
Aww, you should have at least played till something actually scary happened. I still have around 20 minutes left in my download…
I played a bit, and the first scary thing that happened I pretty much expected it, but it was still quite scary.
The mod has atmosphere that almost makes me not want to play it right now (that’s a good thing)
I would still be playing right now but I minimized and it crashed and I started talking to someone
Does it require the original half life? Or will any other game work?
Pretty sure it needs HL1. And i was just playing for a while thinking this isn’t THAT scary when I entered a room and the game scared the shit out of me.
the video options and software/openGL/3D3 thing annoys me. Whenever I go to launch the game after playing, it crashes and restarts in software mode, aka shitty pixel fuckmess mode. I now launch Half-life and then adjust the video settings to 3D3, apply, quit, and then launch CoF.
Any more convenient remedies?
I thought you were supposed to use opengl because it uses a modified opengl dll?
Currently downloading… 40 minutes back…
This thread should now be officially turned into the Cry of Fear discussion thread.
Download faster damn you!
I don’t dare playing without light on. :fffuuu:
Just played a bit then, god damn this is intense. Can’t play too much in one go. First game in a while that makes me scared to go down a hallway.
Stuck in the apartments, dunno where the hell I’m supposed to go.
But hey! I found a glock!
Installing now
Edited: Wtf, 3GB??
Downloading
Also, a shout out to Maxey for whom I would not be able to play this were it not for his generous alms.
