[Crash] Loading saved games, and flashlight

When ever I try to load a save from Office Complex, the game crashes back to desktop.

I restarted the chapter, and now when ever I turn on the flashlight, the game crashes.

Haven’t tested if the save problem is in Office Complex only.

The first two MDMP are Flashlight crashes the rest are loading saves.

Update, was able to load a auto save point at the start of the chapter, but still get the problem with the flashlight.

Also these problems only appeared after relaunching the game, as it was running fine last night when I was playing.

Update:
Went back to start of previous chapter,a and no flashlight problems at start of chapter, no idea about the saves issue yet, or if I will still get flashlight issues on Office Complex.

im also crashing when my flashlight is used.

Update:
Replayed from Unforeseen Consequences to Office Complex, flashlight fine until the level loads into Office Complex, where trying to turn on the flashlight results in a crash.

I had a save point from before I entered the elevator, where I went back and tried the level transition with the flashlight already on, no such luck, crashed just the same.

First MDMP is flashlight off at level transition, second is it on.

I’m having the same issue. Game keeps crashing if I try to use the flashlight.

Having the issue where flashlight causes game to crash also.

I got around this issue by doing some testing.

I set all the video options to the lowest settings. At this point the game did not crash if I turned on the flashlight. Then I turn each settings on one at a time. I tested between each change and left any settings that didn’t seem to affect the game. In the end, I managed to turn everything back on to my original settings and that cleared the crashing issue up. It no longer crashes any more even though my settings are back to what they were before I set them all to low. I don’t know what’s happening here, but I suggest you try the same.

I am also getting this problem. And d41m40u’s temp fix didn’t work for me, because once I put all of my settings back, the toggling the flashlight didn’t crash the game but the flashlight wasn’t visible at all, so it was pointless.

This is especially frustrating since this is a dark level D:

Update and Temp Fix

As it was only doing it when I used the flashlight in the first part of Office Complex, I just didn’t use the flashlight until it I was through to the next level transition, and it works fine after that.

There’s really only one part you need it, and that’s in a vent, but you can make it through in the dark. (use the force, and you will find your way…sorry, couldn’t resist)

I’ve followed AoD advice and was able to make it to the next transition and this corrected the issue. However I’m now at the “We’ve got hostiles” mission, where some scientist ask a security guard to open the silo and I’m having the same issue with the flashlight…

I’m now getting Flashlight issues at the start of “Power Up”

After I turned all my settings down, to get past a crash at the end of “Blast Pit” then turned them back up, I was getting the Flashlight, where it’s on but it’s not on…in other words there is no light coming from it.

Now after reloading the map, it just out right crashes.

I’ll try tweaking some settings see if that works, if not…then I’ll learn to see in the dark.

Update and Fix:

After turning all settings down to lowest and turning them back up one by one…

Shadow Detail was the cause for me, High resulted in the no light from it, Medium out right crashed the game, and Low appears to work fine.

No idea if this will work for everyone, but try it and see.
