CRASH: First Loading Screen

On the tram, the first loading screen, crashes to desktop
I’m super psyched about this game too GRR
Please help

Right click on Black Mesa on list, select proporties than starting parameters. There add:

-dxlevel 90

Click OK and run the game.

Negatory on that.
Its weird, it like, shows rocks and stuff that would be outside, and then it crashes to desktop.

EDIT: What i mean by that, is like the screen switches to like an exterior view, then POW, crash.

I’m having the exact same problem I’ve tried everything I could think possible and still no luck. I figured it could have been just that one load point but I changed the level using the console and it happens at every load point. Here’s a screenshot of what I see after the first load point

By chance, are you running on the Intel HD graphics that is integrated with a processor?

No I am using two AMD Radeon 6770 cards but one of them is disabled.

I fixed BoosterGold’s issue, it should theoretically work for you as well.

If you are running Windows 7 and you have Steam installed to “Program Files”, you’re going to have to uninstall it and reinstall it to somewhere else, preferably C:\Games

Windows 7 locks down any applications installed to Program Files and it’s stopping Black Mesa from accessing the static player information needed to carry weapons over. You should be good to go after that.

After you activate the Fan near the three headed hydra monster thingy my game crash’s. it runs fine other wise until that point.
