Crash error.

Howdy.

First, I would like to congratulate everyone who worked on the making of Black Mesa Source. It is great to see it shining in the dark. I do seriously believe that these are dark times for games…

Second, in the game, at the part when you are in a… some sort of a huge fridge, after you put the valve into that hole to operate it, at a part it crashes and an error message pops up.

Here is the message:“Engine Error: Too many verts for a dynamic vertex buffer (38360>32768) Tell a programmer to up VERTEX_BUFFER_SIZE.”

I would appreciate it if anyone would read this and post an answer (if that person has one).

Thank you for taking your time in reading this.

P.S. post too serious and gloomy? Here, have a kitty.

                                         /\_/\
                                     (^w^)
                                      (")(")

I got this same error but as I loaded a save up on.

I just got this error too.
Engine Error

Too many verts for a dynamic vertex buffer (34216>32768) Tell a programmer to up VERTEX_BUFFER_SIZE.
This was in the elevator shaft where one of the scientist is dangling from a support beam in the shaft and says he cant hold on much longer.

had ( 32923>32768 ) to up vertex buffer
just after one lady scientist started following me and right after the second turret

Same thing happened to me. The game crashed and gave me an engine error when I used the elevator near the end of Apprehension.

Well… At this moment I think we have to wait and see if anyone is able to respond with a solution… Lets just hope.

For me it doesn’t matter if it works or not if I lower the settings, all it matters for me is only if its going to be FIXED or NOT, without me having to do any changes to the settings.

Founded in 2004, Leakfree.org became one of the first online communities dedicated to Valve’s Source engine development. It is more famously known for the formation of Black Mesa: Source under the 'Leakfree Modification Team' handle in September 2004.
