Prepare for unforeseen circumstances

Damn, I woke up two hours earlier than I had planned and now I´m so excited I can´t get back to sleep. Waiting, waiting, waiting…

Workstation Laptop - Check
1920x1080 - check
Set optimus to run with nvidia Quadro for hl2.exe - check
insanely fast internet - check.
I think im ready.

i loled.

My crowbar is getting rather impatient…
What’s up with empty page?
https://release.blackmesasource.com/

It’ll be activated on launch.

Your pc´s clock could be set at the wrong time. It screws up the countdown timer and brings you to that page.

1,5 hours to go! Jezus, can’t wait any longer…

Told clients taking day off for “personal matters”
2nd machine fired up, uTorrent primed, ready to DL, then SEED all day…
Gave wifey a wad to go shopping/keep busy with
Made double-sure Cable and Electric were paid (j/k… never been past due)
Have mini-fridge under desk stocked and Gatorade bottle for pissing into
New box of Kleenex™ by keyboard (take that any way you like):jizz: or :’(

I wonder how long it’ll take to download… would suck having to wait 3 more hours because of traffic overload.

Maybe, like for diablo 3 auction house bug, if i advance the clock of my computer i can download the game earlier? :fffuuu:

Dude, do you understand that with torrents it works the opposite of what you would think?.. more peers, more power… perhaps you should head over to uTorrent and grab a copy and get it installed pronto… or you can take chance with mirror links…

Quick question before I mess up everything:
I only need to have source sdk 2007 right?

It’s not necessary to have installed HL2 or any of its episodes.

Sick from school. Utorrent all ready to go.

Second that!

Source SDK BASE 2007, yes.

Correct. Or rather Source SDK Base 2007.

Question on that matter. I do have a few Source games (Half-Life 2 + episodes, CS: Source) installed. Do I still have to install the SDK? Or did it come automatically with these Source games?

Damn!

I just forgot I can play this game with my Nvidia 3D Vision set! Now I am even more stoked to experience Half-Life in full 3D!

Probably not. Check in your Steam Library under Tools. If it says Ready To Play, you´re fine.

Thanks for the quick answer!

I can’t believe that this day has finally arrived!

Founded in 2004, Leakfree.org became one of the first online communities dedicated to Valve’s Source engine development. It is more famously known for the formation of Black Mesa: Source under the 'Leakfree Modification Team' handle in September 2004.
