I was wondering if I am the only one who can’t download the darn FREE Source SDK Base 2007 cause when I click the link it redirects me to fucking nowhere???
@ivan: if you don’t have Steam, that’s what happens. Download steam, and sign up for a free account. Open steam and click on tools. Look down the list, find SDK 2007 and right click>install.
About covers - seems that this thread is now lost - maybe somebody will restore it?

For you younger dudes: as a man who works with client deadlines and has pulled many all-niters getting shit done (or the entire world would explode), I can tell you this: do not spend all night watching that clock or clicking around forums or thinking about tomorrow in general. You are doing yourself a major disservice by not getting a good night sleep. You will enjoy tomorrow waaay more with some sleep in you. I know this seems elementary, trivial and completely retarded… yes. But I have no doubt there will be blokes doing just that. And that is the epitome of retardation. Sleep bros… Everything will be here waiting for you in the morning.
And nothing could ever be more retarded than staying up all night, only to fall asleep an hour or two before showtime… and waking up 6 or 7 hours later…
Unlike most of you, I’ve been waiting for this mod for a just a miniscule four years since the initial trailer came out in 2008 after having heard tid-bits about it the year before. Even so, I’m ecstatic about finally playing the mod that I’ve been dreaming of playing since 2008. There are truly no words to describe my level of anticipation in the small 19 hours that are left until the release.
We want some in-game videos or pictures.

Yeah, I’m relatively new. Long time lurker in hopes of news. I had a similar thought when I first played Half Life 2, getting Half Life 1 remade on the new engine…but with dialup internet, I couldn’t look it up and find Black Mesa.
Here I am, about 5 years after hearing about this thing, and surprisingly…I can wait. After getting unspeakably excited about 2009, I think it broke me, and despite the new media and the soundtrack that gives me chills about how good it is…I can wait till I get home from school and play Black Mesa.

Meh. The mod releases at 10:47 AM in my time zone anyway, and school for me starts at 7:34. It’s not like it really changes my schedule in any way.

It’s incredible to know that after nearly five years of going on to this site daily it will all pay off. It’s also nice to see all the very same regulars that I’ve come to know as very cynical individuals have a level of excitement in them that I haven’t seen since 2009
