Community Update

Similarly, I made an account to thank you guys. I am a huuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuge Half-Life fan. While I haven’t been waiting as long as some of the grey-bearded veterans here, I’ve been scouring the Internet for news on this since 2008. In all honesty, I tried to forget about this without forgetting - letting it stay in the back of my mind with periodic checks around the Internet trying to find as much info as I could.

I am happy to see that those days will be over. Seriously, take as much time with Xen as you possibly can (but not too long!). I am extremely content with the fact that in a few short days I can finally play the mod I’ve been itching to have a go at. Thank you for all of your hard work, sacrifice, passion, and love. Much respect to you all!

What are talking about making videos at final minutes and missing because of class etc… it runs off system clock. Change current date/time to 9/14/2012 - 10:47am Eastern (actually a couple mins before) and see… you can make that video any time, which would look identical to the real thing…

Because when the system clock winds down, it redirects to an empty domain (xxxxxxx.blackmesasource.com). And if somebody makes that video early, it will redirect to an empty white page. I know.

I don’t have off on Friday… but I do have a 4-day weekend after that.

It’s because my school closes on Jewish holidays due to the insane proportion of Jewish students we have. So we get additional random days off here and there which is pretty cool. B)

Gotcha… makes sense.

Well done one and all, nice to see it arriving finally, my patience since February 2006 has paid off (though not as much as your hard work, I’m sure!).

Also glad it’s been greenlit - must be pretty awesome to be so anticipated!

Hope the release all goes well; I’m looking forward to downloading & playing. I’m re-decorating my living room at the moment, but my dearly beloved might have to put up with wallpaper hanging off and paint everywhere for a while…

Anybody know when it’ll be availible on steam exactly ?
You think beforeor after the release ? just by curiosity ^^’

There’s virtually no chance of it happening in time for the release on Friday. Other than that, as far as I know the devs have not had any information from Valve.

Other than the fact that I have to move all my stuff to my college apartment (aka no time for gaming) I’m ecstatic that BM’s releasing. I’ll probably set up my computer first so I can see the timer count down to 0 while I work.

Thx !

Ouch, I have 12hours shifts on Fri/Sat/Sun  Not sure if I will sleep at all :o)

Yes! Gordon Freeman is back !

Hmmm… media blackout? What gives?

And, oh yeah… how effing sweet it is to see that damn thing read 0 Days 22 Hours 35 Minutes 4 Seconds!!!.. eeks!!.. I am a 43 year old man - that is as giddy as little school girl!!

Brilliant, someone slightly older than me. I don’t feel like quite as much of a complete saddo - cheers!

^ same here, but I’m mid fifties…yikes!
I’m taking tomorrow off, if commander in chief doesn’t throw a spanner in the works.

just could not resist! took a fan art and printed! fits like a glove

NOT BAD.

I don’t think the new forums like your use of image tags…

Founded in 2004, Leakfree.org became one of the first online communities dedicated to Valve’s Source engine development. It is more famously known for the formation of Black Mesa: Source under the 'Leakfree Modification Team' handle in September 2004.
