Community Update

yes.

Unfortunately, I was late, websites were offline (gameupdates.org and blackmesasource.com)

Fortunately for me. I took link from moddb, torrent file on media****.com
I wrote there (moddb) few times about adding this tracker :
udp: //tracker(.)openbittorrent(.)com:80

Now, excuse me, I’m playing.

I can’t believe it’s finally here, and on the set release date too! I’ve been waiting for this game for such a long time. Cheers to the devs who pulled through on this one!

everyone has finish the game and Im still downloading

I haven’t gotten it yet. I managed to get a torrent to work for a bit, but I didn’t want to be a leech, and My university firewall blocked seeding, so I had to kill the torrent, and am now downloading from a private server. about 1GB left to go. CAN’T WAIT.

Congrats to everyone for getting it done! I have been waiting a while for this…sadly, it seems I will have to wait a while more…

ModDB: Has the file in two parts, part 2 is not available
Fileshack: Dropped me twice, speed did not exceed 50kb a second. Dropped me around 200 MB telling me it completed when it clearly did not.
Gamefront:I found part two and three, no part 1. (this is especially strange because ModDB uses gamefront, so they are hosting the same file in parts). The parts are also less than a MB…not the correct files…

I just totally LOL’d as I typed this. When I began this post I was chugging along at a blazing fast .3kb sec on torrent, would have taken approx 1 year. But as I just checked it to confirm its like people hear me typing, now at 900kb sec and staying steady! THANK YOU to everyone who IS seeding. I will leave it up for as long as I can to help seed.

have watched the peers on the various trackers grow to 43,000
seeds are up to about 1/3 of that total so its shows 1/3 of us aren’t leeches

I don’t think anyone would’ve actually finished the game!! Its barely been 5 hrs since its release! And if they actually did, they rushed really crazy!

JUST FINISHED INSTALLING, ABOUT TO LAUNCH THE GAME!!!

I just saw the intro and I am blown away! It really is one badass remake! The soundtrack, the graphics, the voice acting, and hence, the nostalgia!!!

BM Team you guys rock!! U guys are Godsend!!!

Playing the mod right now…
One of the best mod I’ve seen in my entire life.

Worth the wait.

Jaw-dropping… I am stunned!.. Practically speechless.

Up to middle of office complex… and so far, aside from just a couple tiny details here and there and a few water effects (that are maybe not up to Crysis 2 levels), this thing is absolutely PERFECT!!!.. The lighting, level design, the ambience, npcs, houndeyes, bullsquids, vorts, zombies, headcrabs… all beautiful and stunningly detailed!

BMS Rocks!!.. whew!.. back to game!!

I am seeding full speed on the torrent, but unfortunately my upload rate is not that great, its an avg of 216kb/sec rite now…

At least that’s upload and not download. My average download speed for the torrent wasn’t much better than that, and I’m on a 20 megabit connection.

Downloading with speed 20KBps, Damn ! I hate my country.

I’m replaying HL1 first (since my graphics card broke and i’ll be only able to play it at my cousin’s house). Am I missing much? (just kidding).

I’m already traumatized black table and go I’m waiting for the end to finish at 100%

Well, I still seed and my fair share is up to 80Gbyte seeded.
Thats 26 Black Mesa :fffuuu:

tis’ a shame I can’t seed… I would love to with my upload speeds. I can download fine, but uploading is blocked :frowning:

So what the heck happened to the file that was on Shacknews? It’s gone.

I have played it already. It’s just AWESOME!
Let’s wait for Xen!

Like in two years or similar? I know it’s not commercial title, on the other hand Source is more and more outdated every month.

I really doubt it will take two years. They wouldn’t release the first part knowing it would take two more years for the second.

It won’t be this year, but my guess is that it will be somewhere early to mid 2013.

There’s always a chance for unexpected issues though.

Founded in 2004, Leakfree.org became one of the first online communities dedicated to Valve’s Source engine development. It is more famously known for the formation of Black Mesa: Source under the 'Leakfree Modification Team' handle in September 2004.
