Everybody tortures me with the same question again and again. I do it for fun and in case it will take long time for BM team. “Soon” may be in few months or in a few years. Next time read first post, I explained there.
You are overreacting.
Besides Black Mesa’s Xen will have better quality then this, since it already takes 4 minutes to get to Gonarchs lair.
As for the map itself, I suggest you make the transition to Gonarchs Lair longer.
And change the texture scale on faces of the island, because it very noticable.
Also I’d suggest to recreate the moving islands, since you are now using HL1’s islands.
I didin’t say Black Mesa’s Xen will be worse. It will be better. I’m the only person working on it, and they have entire team for this. I do it for fun because I don’t want to wait for BM xen.
With overreacting I ment that Xen will probably not take more years.
I predict that Xen will be finished in April or May (pure estimation). Your work is really good, but:
- those hanging sentries that shoot you with purple beam look likethose from HL1 - too blocky
- portal to Gonarch should be needed to be activated somehow
- remake floating islands
- reoptimize fall damage areas / lower the gravity
