CoD 4 sometimes running in slow motion

:brow:

Maybe I should’ve added sarcasm tags.

Ah, my sarcasm detector is broken, apparently.

You said it goes into slowmo without a framedrop?

Does the audio sound like it’s in slowmotion too?

Nope, it’s just visual. Accompanied by frame dropping.

Have you tried some registry cleaning? You know like registry clean expert or something? theres a lot of programs that start up and maybe thats eating your pc…just a suggestion like the others.

I’ll give it a go, thanks for the suggestion.

PS: G’ddamn I love your sig.

Okay. So still not solved. This is driving me nuts. I’ve tried just about everything.
Activision Customer support is also out off ideas.

Here’s all the things I tried:
-Disabling all background programs in msconfig
-Disabled a gpu core (catalyst a.i. off)
-Updated to SP3 (Appearantly I hadn’t done that yet.)
-Updated sound and graphic drivers.
-Set CPU overclock back to normal + disabled all turbo enchancers.
-Portforwarded it, enabled UPNP.
-Disabled virtual drives.
-Disabled ingame steam community.

I mean seriously, what the hell is this? Just nothing’s working.
Any suggestions are still welcome, no matter how farfetched

How about experimenting with the core affinity? You know making it run on only one core for instance.

Anyway, I finally solved it!
It was hyper threading that was causing the problems.
I tried disabling all cores and hyper threading and it worked!
Then all cores enabled, and only hyper threading disabled, and it still works fine.

It’s not an ideal solution, but apparently the MW engine doesn’t go well with hyper threading.

Founded in 2004, Leakfree.org became one of the first online communities dedicated to Valve’s Source engine development. It is more famously known for the formation of Black Mesa: Source under the 'Leakfree Modification Team' handle in September 2004.
