Chapter Messages not appearing

This is my first post so … hi?
Anyways, the messages (like the description of Freeman in Black Mesa Inbound and the chapter name at the start of a chapter and the saved… after you save) aren’t appearing. I checked the bms_english.txt file and the titles.txt file and both were normal. Does anyone know a fix for this?

did you name the mod folder bms

Yes, I did the regular install so the folder’s name is bms. I think I might have a solution to this, so I’m going to try it now.

I just tried it and it didn’t work. I’m gonna try to see the problem tomorrow.

check the resource folder and there should be a file named bms_english.txt check that if thats blank you may have corrupted bms download

Just checked it and everything is there. I still don’t know what is the problem.

Wait. Does it show up as #BMS_ChapterTitle_ (Chapter Number)? Or just doesn’t show up at all?
