Is there any ways to change hud color without coding?

Try modifying your clientscheme.res. Should be in either the resource or scripts folder.

Does it work if you put the file directly in BM’s folder instead of packing it in a vpk?

If not, the HUD element you’re trying to change might have its values stored elsewhere.
