FUCK YEA!!! THAT’S HOW BLACK MESA ROLLS! THAT’S HOW THEY GET ALL THE LADIES!
Don’t be hasty.
GZ, now I literally shit brix.
I’VE BEEN WAITING FOR THIS FOR MOST OF MY LIFE
I have been waiting for this mod for half my life (I feel the need to make a pun). Ever since I first saw Half-Life 2 in a 2003 PC magazine I knew something like this mod has to happen and here it is now. I would like to crack a beer open and drink in the peaceful company of some junk food right now.
We need to unban stides a couple of days after the mod comes out to see what he thinks, then ban him again so he has time to finish his
go buy cocain and party hard
They were the good times. I contributed to this picture also, teh awesomeness.
Joined this site when I was 14, I’m 18 now and it’s great to hear that this is coming out, I’m just wondering, when the remaining chapters are done, will it be serving as an update?
There is only one proper way to celebrate this occasion:
Dont worry.
I’ll be fucking up all the textures in Black Mesa and replace every single sound with my voice and release it as Stide’s Balck Meas Sauce.
Also;
Replace every texture with porn. Every texture.
Well, this certainly surprised me and cheered up a rather gloomy set events for me recently! I’m anxiously looking forward to this!
I’m so glad they set the release date during the same month as the announcement, or else I probably would have been uncomfortably annoyed.
I’m not sure how I went so long not realizing this project was in the works, as I had only discovered it back in May of this year. I guess I’m excited that I wasn’t waiting for it as long as I was waiting for Half-Life 3, though.
7 years… Wow. This’ll definitely be… Worth the wait.
I trusted that this project would get done, even when I saw it was in the making for such a long time. The insistence that it was not dead and was currently being worked on was good enough reassurance for me. Most mods and projects end up just dying or fading away.
I think… that in the history of video games… This is probably the first mod / remake of a game created by fans, to actually have been completed, and done well.
It makes me sad that other awesome fanmade works that were close to completion, like Chrono Trigger Resurrection, could never have seen the light of day.
This is why I love VAVLe, they encourage their fans to work and modify their games. Seriously the best gaming company ever, if not the best company ever.
I also signed up about last month for some reason, but I guess this will be my first post, out of some sort of… celebratory sense.
Booze and Pizza tonight for me.
aaaaaw shit, son. this is probably the only game/mod i’m still actually excited about.
same, somehow I am only able to play with source engine games
I finally registered today to say this:
To the dev’s:
Thank you so much. I know how much effort and time you’ve all put into this mod, I’ve been following this mod for the past 5 years or so, and I think if Valve said tomorrow that they were releasing HL2: EP3 on the same day as the BM release I would surely play BM before EP3. Thank you so much to all who worked in this project. We appreciate it more than you know.
To the regulars who have been ‘trolling’ this thread. You all are assholes. Your constant flaming and rudeness is the reason why 50 to 75 percent of the people following this mod didn’t register. You made the forums a joke and extremely hard to look at everyday. I hope once you get BM and you play it, you go out into the real world, and grow the hell up.
Lastly:
F*** THE HATERS WHO SAID THIS WOULDN’T EVER BE DONE!
Come on, dude. Half the reason I come to this forum is to read stuff from the regulars. It’s usually pretty funny. I get that it could be interpreted as hostile to newcomers, but it’s a unique culture around here. I guess you have to have a bent sense of humor like I do to appreciate it.
But yeah, just proving the haters wrong will shame them more than fucking them ever would. Besides, they might like getting fucked :fffuuu:
Pffft, I resent being called a regular. Before today, my last post was way back in July 2009. :fffuuu:
Seriously though, having followed this mod since practically the beginning (back when the name “Leak-Free” meant something), it’s really great to see Black Mesa finally coming out. It feels like one unfinished part of my past is finally getting the conclusion that it deserves.
I can’t believe the wait is over.
