The 7900GS, definitely.
:brow:
I’d also go with the 7900.
It’s a good card, but the extra 256MB RAM might be useful in certain games. It’ll allow for higher resolution textures.
Yeah, but the X1600 is way too slow to even utilize the extra RAM. It’s just a marketing gimmick.
NVidia GeForce is pretty good for games and stuff.
Well, I really hated that nvlddmkm driver error. Not enough power to meet the requirements. Standard manufactored computers, bleh.
Indeed, the X1600 scored 2592 in 3Dmark 05 and the 7900 GS scored 4257.
It also averaged at about 42 FPS more than the X1600 in HL2: The Lost Coast with everything maxxed out at 1280x1024.
In fact, it actually out-ran the X1800 in the Lost Coast test too.
“Series 8 and newer, having 32 or more cores and 256MB or more of video memory.”
:retard:
who needs stuff like CUDA anyway? it’s like looking for marketing gimmicks on purpose.
I just wanted to know cuz I have the two to choose from and I wanna make sure I have the better one plugged in.
I would give the other video card to my kid’s 8 year old computer however it doesnt have a PCI-E slot. Go figure! I will probably give it to the IT dood next door that is helping us.
I just wanted to make your FPS in Sauce higher
Glad things have worked out.
