Cascade shadow maps bug, and horrible particle performance

1: cascaded shadow maps aren’t blending in perfectly with the world:

I remember Valve also having this issue and then talking about how they fixed it in a map workshop blog post in CS:GO (https://blog.counter-strike.net/workshop/maps.php#cascade_shadow). This is what Valve had to say about it:


In here it’s not that big of a problem, but sometimes a lot of explosions tend to happen on-screen while in a fight, and I have died a couple of times because of the fps dropping to like 15, making aiming a pretty much impossible task.
